This song was on the Spiderman Movie soundtrack, the one with Toby Maguire. Sometimes this song helps you to ponder after all the good you have given, have you been thankful or cared to wonder who or what it takes to sacrifice just to make us happy. It's a conflicting theme and fits the movie theme very well. One of my favorites from Stone Sour and one of their softest hits. You should check out the through glass 👍

Most music is open to interpretation and the experience is different for the listener. Stonesour have both heavy and soft songs. This is Corey's original band and the music he intended to make. Slipknot was not his bad. He was recruited to do the vocals. People are surprised when they hear Stonesour that their is a deeper side to Corey. I much prefer Stonesour to Slipknot but I am in the minority. Slipknot has changed and mellowed over the years to were some of their songs sound more like Stonesour. I would assume this is due to Corey gaining more control of the direction of the band. In the beginning he had little inputs into Slipknot's song writing and direction of the band.

I was thankful when this song came out. I grew up southern baptist but had a father who practices the culture of Natives. I was constantly battling with why the song says Jesus loves ALL the little children, but you're taught "don't you dare go mix with someone who isn't pale face or the church will harass you and your family disown you". Yet Natives believe we all are one, love is love. And yes, this was repeated on the daily because "no mixed babies in MY family because you won't embarrass me" or walk into the doors of the CHURCH being approached with "you need to just get right with the LORD and stop all this mixing, it ain't rite".. I was taught that being gay was a choice and GOD will punish you, along with the judgmental individuals in the church, yet I always knew my sexuality was anything BUT straight. I even got the courage to tell my ex husband (see what I said there COURAGE) I once kissed a girl thanks to Katy Perry, to which he replied "why did I marry such a disgusting human being, turn that shit off NOW". And I believed him because :CHRISTIAN GIRLS DON'T ACT LIKE THAT. The list can go on about the brainwash nonsense that I was...what's the word we use so much these days...ah yes, indoctrinated to believe, but the beauty for this song is that you can leave it up to any view that best suits your pain with the words being spoken. Who is the devil that haunts you? How are you dealing with what you know to be right and what they want to believe is right. We all have a conscience. Do you ignore it? The actual music video, is haunting. It made us feel that we weren't alone in our misunderstood world. I'm editing to say that I don't feel like fixing the grammatically incorrect or the spelling that is incorrectly done. It is what it is. lol
