Right? Japan only has a 2% foreign population and most of that is still comprised of other Asians. So, when non-Asians screw up there, it makes ALL non-Asian foreigners look bad. The one positive though is that these idiots usually stick to the populous areas where there's non-Japanese people around who can understand them and confront them. I really feel like the shit Logan Paul had done would never be able to be replicated on such a scale today as someone would also coldcock him if he tried. It probably goes without saying, but WAY too many people forget these days that whenever you travel to another country, you're automatically representing where you came from. Foreigners actually have it pretty easy, from what I've heard - you just get slapped with a fine and deported. It's only when you don't go along with it that you get the native Japanese treatment of being guilty until proven... guilty... which you will be because otherwise it would mean the police arrested someone innocent, which would be an unacceptable failure, which must never be admitted.

Nah Japanese people confront others in Japan, but it depends on the time, place, people, and situation. You might see it more in the cities too, especially in Tokyo or Osaka. But clout chasers are increasingly becoming a nuisance in Japan, and slowly you’re starting to see people standing up against them. Unfortunately most people will still be non-confrontational and generalize foreigners.
