As per what I've researched, even brand new caps can go bad, specially if never used. Just like unused batteries could. A suggestion I've read was to allow current to cross the caps for at least 24hs, and only then allow the board to do whatever it is intended to do. So, I am going to try this... I will plug in the board and power it up (board alone, connected to nothing), and let it be like this for 1 day. In all going well (no caps exploding or any other indication of failure), I will them move it to my Mac and test it. Let's see.
