3:48 is one of those small clues in Columbo that ultimately helps do in the villain. Dumb move by McGoohan's character considering what he had planned to take up that shooting game. And then for both of them to hit all 10 clay ducks (as the man says, it usually takes 6 months for 2 people to hit 10 out of 10) is so unusual that it guarantees that they will be remembered and identified.

Patrick McGoohan also starred in an earlier TV series called "Dangerman" where he played a secret agent called John Drake. There is some speculation it was a prequel to his role in the prisoner.

This is one of my all time favourite episodes with both Nielsen and McGoohan co-starring together. I also noticed Darren Steven's boss from the "Bewitched" sitcom show was also in it as the CIA spymaster who was over both them.

You wanna know the weirdest twist in the Elmer McCurdy story? The artist/toy designer who created Skeletor based the character on his memory of seeing McCurdy's gaunt, skeletal face when he went on the ride as a teenager, it stood out to him as being much too realistic for a spookhouse prop.

Born into poverty, orphaned and an alcoholic by his teens, he wanted to become a notorious successful criminal and failed miserably. By pretty much every metric, life wasn't working out for him, so at least in death he got the notoriety he sought.

it's currently airing on hallmark movies and mysteries and that might have something to do with it. full episodes are uploaded sporadically, usually once said episodes are out of rotation on hmm. and then region locked or hidden when said episodes are back on rotation on hmm. copyrights, probably. they just don't give media away for free. they can monetize on youtube by adding a fee; which will probably happen.

Ever since the Lindbergh kidnapping, society has had a growing focus of crime involving children's deaths. Media has shun light on the likes of men like Dean Corll who killed 28 children, Norman Simons who raped and murdered 22, Luis Garavito, who killed 138 young boys. Then there was shows like America's most wanted and to catch a predator. It sprouts fear but has saved some lives. Maybe it's worth it and many will say no. I don't know myself.

*Mrs Columbo* A confession, my friends: my husband's favorite episode (can you guess which? - he publicly revealed it) is one that I have never ranked among mine. Not even in my top 10. Another confession: unlike the man on screen, F was a notorious womanizer. Though the Loo appeared devoted to me - as he would fondly refer to me in almost every episode - he chased women like we breathe air. This, too, was widely known and elaborated upon in detail in his biographies. An unrivaled actor, but a man with many, MANY personal, real-life faults.
