My family owned 3! A 1995 LX sedan, a 1997 LX sedan and a 1997 Special Edition coupe . We had the coupe the longest, from 2003-2021. It was my childhood car, and also my first car (if that tells you how long we owned it) it had 332,000 miles on it when I retired it

To this day, and I’ve owned way too many cars, the cd5 was my favorite car. Had a 94 lx 5spd sedan in the super dark midnight blue. Forgot the actual paint name. So dark it looked black. Ugh I miss that car

The CB/CD Accords and BB Preludes are probably the best cars ever assembled. Honda right at their peak. I still own and rive a 94 prelude si. Runs like a top. 30yrs old this year. 260k miles. Looks and drives like it has half that mileage.

In 2006 I had a 1995 Honda Accord EX, with 114k on it paid $800 for it. timing belt and water pump replaced right before I brought it. only issue was it was missing a headlight and the bumper was black. I had it for a few months, no issues. Rainy day slid into a grand Cherokee air bags deployed car was drivable but "totaled" Put the car in craigslist two guys showed at the same time sold the car for $1000 with deployed airbags pushed back hood and windshield. Today 2022 car is still on the road guy who brought it lives close to my mom car has over 300k and still rolling... moral of the story.... I WISH I WOULD HAVE KEPT THE CAR!!!!!!

12:24 I drive a 99 ex every day, 2.3l VTEC , 5 SPD. It's my only running vehicle. 197k. AC still works. It's a great car. I just put a new timing kit in it at 195k , brand new brakes all around last week and studded snows up front last month. The previous owner said a Honda clutch kit was put in at 140k. I love it, keyless remotes still work , sunroof n all windows.

Yep, owned a black 4-cylinder, 5-speed EX sedan. I bought it from its first owner in 2009 with 120,00K miles on the odometer and it was dead reliable the 2 years and +30K miles I put on it before the car was totaled in an accident. I adored that car. Best Accord and best car I’ve ever owned.

Yeah Accords are awesome. I had one with close to 300k miles and it was still solid and reliable. All I had to do was change the clutch. Thanks for sharing that.

289k miles on my accord 2.2 vtec with a 5 speed manual 😅 Hood needs a respray but everything else is in good condition for the age and it runs great in about to change the leaking head gasket soon but that’s about it

If we're being perfectly honest, the C27 in this generation wasn't that great. It made the Accord much heavier which affects handling and fuel economy, barely offered any additional acceleration or top speed, was harder and more expensive to work on, and it just wasn't as economical as the 4 cylinder. Plus, the 4 speed auto it was paired to was one of the most bizarre units ever put out by Honda. I firmly believe the best version of this generation Accord employed the F22B1 VTEC-E motor. That motor is incredibly efficient and power for the era, and a slightly modified, modernized version would still be competitive today in a 3000 lb car with another gear or two in the transmission. Not to mention how darn reliably they are ... seriously; keep oil and coolant in them, the timing belt changed out and the valves adjusted every so often, and the electronics in working order, and they will go forever.

Totally agree man. I owned several Accords and yeah, I must say that engine wasn’t all that much of an improvement over the inline 4. Especially the aspect of being more difficult to work on and more expensive. I could’ve rambled on about that tidbit in the vid but it was more of an informational vid and not a criticizing one haha.

I would like to see videos about 1990s upscale suvs such as 1991-2004 Oldsmobile bravada, though I've always hated the idea of Oldsmobile having an suv or 1997-2010 mercury mountaineer
