Do you have to make lines to prevent cracking? I want to build a concrete slab but don't find the lines appeasing to the eye

If the slab is big enough, yes. Look up the term "control joints", and you'll see what I mean. You can actually install rubber inserts into the top to smooth out the surface without compromising the control joint, or use a flexible caulk/tar.

Why did the ramp look so off center . Maybe the homeowners are going to need to do some land scaping around the new shed it looks like it’s going to get flooded

Why the small stones underneath the steel net ?

I don’t think the rebar should be touching the ground. Defeats the purpose.

To level the ground and give it a solid surface to pour on

@@iDeePlease you obviously don’t know anything about concrete work because with a job this small you just lift the steel mesh not “rebar” into the concrete as it is getting poured. Simply give it a little tug and it will suspend itself

Gravel is the best sub base. It allows for good compaction, drainage, weight distribution, and isn't as prone to being a contributing factor to phenomenons such as settling, as opposed to other non stone choices in materials for sub base purposes below a slab or footings.
