On February 9, 2024, teamLab Borderless: MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM (teamLab Borderless) moved from Odaiba, Tokyo, and opened in Azabudai Hills.
TOKYO WALKING staff were among the first to experience this newest and largest digital art museum and have edited the video footage we shot into a video that we present here.
In the video, we also suggest 6 tips for enjoying teamLab Borderles.
Tips 1 : Pay attention to the butterflies
Tips 2 : Pay attention to the walking figures
Tips 3 : Immerse yourself in the work
Tips 4 : Walk around among the works
Tips 5 : Touch the works
Tips 6 : Sit in the works
The artwork is a "museum without a map" by the art collective teamLab. The artwork moves out of the room, relates to, and is influenced by other artworks, has no boundaries with other artworks, and sometimes gets mixed up with other artworks.
teamLab Borderless is one continuous world of such works without boundaries. People are immersed in art that has no boundaries, and wander, explore, and discover.
The new teamLab Borderless will create a continuous, boundaryless world in which artworks evolve, move to more and more locations, intricately interrelate, and change forever.
teamLab Borderless is a complex interplay of more than 70 independent artworks. As you walk through the museum, you will see familiar characters such as butterflies, frogs, animals, and old people here and there.
