It seems good... if you want a degree in computer science, education, health science, or business administration. Because those are the only degree program tracks they offer. Not saying that it's bad, I mean if you're interested in either of those 4 things, then you could go for it. Me, personally though, I'm not into those subjects that much.

But it is not tuition free and I applied for a scholarship and was refused and I am a homeless Vet. I spent my last $60 for the application and then was told it was $2400 a semester. Is there a new definition of "free?"

Hi Robert, please note that we are tuition-free, not free. As the world’s first non-profit, tuition-free university, we ask for minimal processing fees to help keep our university sustainable. As you might know, we are dedicated to opening the gates of higher education to all qualified students, and we would like for no student to be left behind due to financial need. Unfortunately, presently our scholarship funds are limited compared to the number of applicants, and we must, therefore, prioritize those students who have not yet earned a first degree. We hope in the future to have scholarship funds available for MBA/M.Ed. candidates. We encourage you to seek funding from external sources or reach out to your local community for support.

Hi Andreas, thanks for reaching out. Yes, bachelor's degree students need to complete 120 credits. Students take 1-2 courses per term and there are 5 terms per academic year. Students can take 3 courses per term if they have a CGPA of 3.0 or higher :) We also have a Transfer Credit program.

University of the People is "tuition-free", not "free" and nowhere will you see it advertised as such :) University of the People is the world's first non-profit, tuition-free, accredited, online university dedicated to opening access to higher education globally. As such, we are proud that we have managed to cut down almost the entire cost of higher education. All that we ask is for minor processing fees in order to remain sustainable, and keep offering tuition-free education for all qualified applicants worldwide. For those unable to cover these modest processing fees, there are scholarships available.

Mike is baffling. Who knew better salary and better job opportunities require a degree? Why did it take him so long to understand that? I'm amazed such people really exist
