Thanks so much for doing the review Bacon Ninja! You certainly put that frame to the test! Thanks for the feedback and the compliments! I’ll work on making some arm protectors and maybe a nose protector as I have the same exact wear and tear on my build. I think I’ll post my pids and filters on the website as well. I got a tune that’s pretty dialed in with next to no prop wash. Thanks again! -Luke (Unger CNC)

@@BoondockStryker I can work on getting a couple cut this week. Do you want Deadcat or freestyle arms? And which video system do you plan on using? I’ve got 2 versions, DJI O3 and the standard version that fits everything else.

So definitely Walksnail I’m not sure if I want freestyle or deadcat though. Do you think you will have the option to buy the deadcat arms later as a separate purchase? Because I’m leaning more towards freestyle.

Awesome, I have another question how much are the props in view? I had the sector v5 frame with 5” props and the blades were barely in view. That would help make my decision.

Looks like a great 2" frame. It'll make a good backup to my Firefly Nano 20 HDZero. First bnf I bought in 5 years, just got my HD Zero goggles and needed a micro asap. There is about 3mm of meat around them on all sides, so I don't expect them to be overly fragile for a quad of this size. I do have some big ol' cap screws in there though, so it covers quite a bit of the hole, lol.

@@BaconNinjaFPV 😂😂 For sure! Kinda sucks lately, I haven’t had much time for fpv. Got some new parts including the new fettec 65amp 8S esc that I haven’t got to try out yet. I made a purchase on my first home purchase and it’s been a disaster/nonstop project. Let’s just say, the previous occupants had a bad problem with mice and roaches. So lots and lots of cleaning, patching and painting…. I don’t understand how people can live that way…. It would either be me or them “bugs n mice”. I’d be out if I lost that war 🤣🤣

I am not understanding why a naked vista wouldn't fit in this. They are 20mm standoffs which my Odonata's and 2" Apex(fake) have and fit a vista no problem.
@BaconNinjaFPV
Жыл бұрын
it is absolutely possible that a naked vista would fit in this one. Based on the recommendations from Unger though, they don't list it for compatibility. I assume the full size one is just too tall with the heat sinks, but those being off may just get it in there!

Great video! I just broke the arm and motor on my tinyhawk freestyle 2 so I am looking for a new frame. My question is will the tinyhawk freestyle 2’s all in one mount into this frame without having to retro fit it into the frame? Or should I just learn to solder and get a micro all in one flight controller ?
@BaconNinjaFPV
Жыл бұрын
I took a look at my TH2F and it seems like you should be able to get it into the frame and have enough room for the camera up front to still get some angle :) Totally doable! What may take a little bit of doing though is getting the antennas routed in a way that won't get them in the props, but a little zip tie creativity can probably take care of that.

I have it on my write up list for this week to get finished :) It took me forever to get everything back in order after tearing up all of my stuff, but the dust is finally settling. The AIO I have in this one is the Darwin ELRS 15A, which is hands down my recommendation for a nice budget micro build where you want to use ELRS on board. If you aren't using ELRS though, their regular version of the same board is pretty darn good too!

I left a comment linking to some 3d prints I made for this but it disappeared. Look on thingiverse for jitterbug and you will find it. Also when I fly this quad with a weight of 95g it flies amazing on stock tune but when increasing the weight to 105g it flies horrible. Any ideas on how to change the pid tune to make it fly better on the heavier battery?
@BaconNinjaFPV
Жыл бұрын
yeah YT regularly prunes those link posts off before I ever get to see them. I know they have been cracking down on spam posts lately, and I am sure it is in relation to that. For the weight, it all comes down to how much thrust you can make to compensate...which does in the end mean flight time gets a hit. The motors I am using on this one are a little over the usual KV, and the factory BF PID tune that I ran it on to start is usually a little hot for smaller quads. Since it had more push/dampening than most small quads and the motors to get it done, it flew pretty well. I alwasys seem to like my quads a little on the chunky side, lol.
@stevejobs5
Жыл бұрын
@@BaconNinjaFPV I did a lot of testing including adding 10g of weight to the lighter battery and it flew great which made me very confused. I finally figured it out though! I was also using a darwin aio board but it was from another build and I had removed the capacitor. It wasn't required for the smaller batteries but the bigger batteries can deliver more current so now its needed. Now it flies amazing on any battery and I'm so happy! Thank you for your replies and for making this video :) This is one of the best FPV channels, keep up the great work :D
