Counterintuitive it may be, but I think you'd more likely see the medium grocery store downtown and the larger one in a less-dense suburb. Cost per square foot in the city would make a smaller facility downtown more viable. Supermarkets in suburbs, where land is cheap, tend to be bigger.

Brooklyns&Queens is one of the best CCPs imo, the aesthetic of it is sorely missed in base game residential. Was just about to say that the area could use a few low density commercial buildings like a bodega or laundry mat but you've already put them in! Some of the green cities high density could fit very well on the other side of the river, nice contrast to the Brooklyn's&Queens you built today.

This is such a perfect addition to the downtown, especially those roads with the new trees? *chefs kiss* Lovely. I would consider connecting the "maintence tram loops" to the train station via foot path just to boost that connectivitiy, which is already pretty damn good but it would make sense, since it's a regular stop.

@@OVERCHARGEDEGG I also want to add that the High Line connects a lot of lower west-side Manhattan, and is primarily surrounded by offices and commercial, so if you keep the zoo path you should find a way to bring it through the downtown, and have it lead out into a destination in the undeveloped land behind the B&Q district, like a science center build or museum district or something.

I feel the main road naturally would have gone straight and over the river then swung around down the coast to the valley to cut through to the other area with the proposed cargo port site. Now I'm thinking of 3 bridges connecting to each other by continuing the road straight with a bridge and then bridge back to the other side of the other bridge so it connects as a sort of triangle.

Wow! Looks so good. A perfect and much needed addition to the city. One of my favorite parts is the park in the triangle. One thought, though. I think the larger grocery combined with the parking lots is rather sprawling and taking up a lot of real estate. I think the smaller Fresh Foods, maybe combined with a parking garage would look less sprawling and fit the dense B&Q vibe better. And the extra space could be used for a variety of commercial around the grocery.

The skyscraper can be 2 tiles away but not 3. If you delete the 2-way street with parking you can redraw the road 1.75 tiles back without connecting to anything and offset by a half tile to center it. You can put a vanilla path in the .75 gap in front of the skyscraper to eliminate any grass and dirt. Having the extra two tiles of cement in front will allow you to detail in front. You will also be able to put your paths in the back of the skyscraper.

As someone who used to live in Queens, I have to say that the vibe feels like home. A lot more green, though. XD Maybe this district can be named "Orchidee"? Per Google Translate, that's the Dutch word for "orchid." Or maybe "Lady's Slipper," an orchid genus found in New York and used to be all over Yorkshire (though only one wild plant is left in all of Britain, thanks to a Victorian orchid craze, with its location kept secret). The rounded shape of the flower kinda matches the end of the downtown land mass.

The elevated zoo path should be in the location of the current train line and vice versa. If a new train line was built and a part was abandoned, you would expect the new train line to have been built without that sudden kink in it coming out of the station. (In fact, Chicago is in a rebuilding project right now to get rid of such a kink in one of the L lines.) It would also be nice to have zoning on both sides of the elevated train line so that you get that "train going through the buildings" aesthetic.
