Good advice all round especially for the hitch mounted moto carrier. I skipped the extra tie downs, using jusy 2, because I was only taking my 450 a couple of miles across town and had to make an unexpected U-turn which popped the front wheel out of the locating recess... Fortunately it all happened at a very slow speed in an area where I could stop immediately and no damage was done. It could have ended a lot worse though. Even though the Sur-Ron is a lot lighter I always use 5 straps no matter how far I'm going :)

@Andrew Betts For sure! I've had a couple instances like that too, all slow speed as well but "It could have been worse" has run through my mind when strapping it down since 👍

this is awesome! What do you like for securing in the back of a pickup truck? The Bolt-it-on seen to be for Vans only. thanks! Just got my Sur Ron BTW

@Charlie Glahe I usually just use those Rhino tie downs attached via the handlebars and the stock D-Rings toward the cab of the truck. Another option, especially if you have a short bed truck is to load the bike diagonally and use those tie downs from the foot pegs to the opposing D-Rings. It's super stable and you're not really compressing the suspension. Thanks for the note!

Amazing! I have used the black widow carrier before and worked great for my 250. Was wondering about the van, is that a Sprinter T1N 140 passenger? Looking to pick one up and need the bench seat in for my daughters car seat and still fit the bikes, would that work? Thank you!

@Cason Kirkpatrick Good eye! Yes the van is a T1N 140" Passenger. For a brief time, I removed all the seats, except for the 2 seater bench and put that seat in the rails closest to the front of the van. I was able to fit bikes in behind that seat. In this video, I've got all the seats removed and used those forward rails for the Bolt It On rack. I've since sold the T1N and have a Transit 148" now and can comfortably seat passengers/daughters car seat in the bench and fit bikes. Hope this helps! Enjoy.

@@ElectricCycleRider thanks for the quick reply! I’m looking to be able to “fit” in a normal parking spot, still have height so I can stand and be able to fit bikes but can’t afford a new transit but this helps a ton! Looking to throw my 690 behind for road trips and what not. Thank you!
