Yeah it was really great. Over the course of the discography series, I’ve watched so many interviews with them, it kinda felt like we were already friends going into this! It was such a cool experience and I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

Just wanted to add, I know your question was initially meant for Deryck, but I thought it was so great I wanted to ask Steve too!

There is some D R A M A between Stevo and Deryck 👀

That has been known since Steve left, the question is whether it was Stevo's fault that he left the band or it was Deryck’s, from what I understand Dave left in 2006 due to problems with Steve, because he wanted to continue making the happy pop punk of the first 2 albums and Dave wanted to continue with Chuck's sound and that caused tensions in the band. But we fans will never know what really happened in 2013 when Steve left, although it sounds like I'm criticizing him it's not true, love that guy

Thanks for tuning in and sharing your thoughts! But, you know, I’ve read and watched HUNDREDS of interviews at this point, and so much of what fans have said is merely speculation and is honestly disrespectful to their private lives. Ultimately, it’s been over a decade, and I think it’s time people just stop with this. They were an awesome band, filled with awesome people who go through ups and downs like any of us, and I think that’s more important to recognize! At any rate, I hope you enjoyed our interview, because we had such an awesome time doing it!

Fair question, and this is what I have to say…. If you watched the full interview, you will hear that Steve spoke about how he was feeling when he left. But, as I mentioned to another commenter, after the extensive amount of research we’ve done, I found too many fans spread their speculations with no solid evidence to support their claims. I listened to several interviews, and actually found myself getting frustrated every time this was brought up. I can only imagine they would too. Just because people are not satisfied with the answers given in the past, doesn’t invalidate those answers. I’m not trying to be rude, but, It’s been over a decade, it’s time fans respect their privacy, let the conspiracies die and move on. We had an amazing conversation and got to hear allot of fun stories we hadn’t heard before. I didn’t want to focus on the negative. I walked away from this feeling we were able to give fans a great sense of who Steve is and what he’s been up to, without feeling redundant , disrespectful or intrusive. It was great talking with him, and I hope, despite your complaint, you were able to enjoy this conversation with him! Steffany

@@CriticallyDisdained Thank you for your measured response here. You guys seem like nice people and were probably nervous. I just mean in an interview like this, it feels conducive to let it flow like a conversation. Steve kept giving morsels of interesting tidbits that kept being ignored in favor of getting onto the next question. That's all.

Thank you for the kind words❤️ We appreciate interacting with our viewers, even if we don’t see eye to eye, and it’s respectful. But, yes we were definitely nervous as this was our first interview. I actually had no idea I would be as nervous as I was! But it was still fun. I’ve actually been unwell over the weekend and just realized, when seeing your new response, I may have been getting the timelines confused. You were asking about Chuck, not SBM! Sorry about that! But, all in all my approach would have been the same. We wanted to keep the focus more positive for this! I think too, all of them have been fairly open over the years with the struggles (personal and otherwise) and disagreements they’ve had, that it’s not something I feel like pushing. However, since starting research in the summer, I’ve probably watched more interviews ands been bombarded with more info in a short amount of time than most, so it was all fresh which is probably why those areas, to me, felt like they had been substantially addressed. I wanted this to be more of an appreciation of his career than just getting in on the gossip. I hope that makes sense! Thanks again for tuning in and interacting! We appreciate it! -Steffany *edited to add * there is an interview with Dave I had read, regarding that, and I’m trying to locate it, amongst all my bookmarks, for you. I think it might address what you’re referencing. I’ll post it when I find it again!
