I hereby the provolver akimbo setup as well as the force tube storm, I really want to use these more but honestly they collect a lot of dust for me due to the lack of native support, I find myself using BHAPTICS arms more for games like breachers it feels amazing and you don't really notice any weight. If the company managed to secure more native support it would be worth it for more people. For Half life make sure you download the gunman contracts mod, I also hope gunman contracts standalone will have native support once it comes out.

Dual guns would be cool. I agree, their supported titles are pretty lackluster compared to BHaptics, especially after 3 years of Quest support. But the backwards compatibility works great on Space Pirate Trainer, and I'm sure others will be cool too. I'm encouraged by the fact that the company is still building and improving on their products. But they should have triple the compatible games by now.

I tried this tonight. Pretty cool. Haven't finished the first chapter yet, but my initial impressions are that it's fun, but it doesn't hold up against the Return to Rapture mod. Maybe I'll feel differently after I reach the second chapter.

There's a lot going on inside that housing, and mapping the trigger pulls and getting game developers to incorporate it is probably a lot of work too. It's expensive, but I can see where the price tag comes from.

@@madzak9847 the time it took to draw it up and perfect it, 1 year. The multiple failed builds before large scale production, 3. The time spent incorporating the software with large gaming platforms, 3 years and counting. I don't know if any of this is accurate, but the principal of it is universally true. You wanna build something from scratch, design it from the ground up, acquire the parts, the batteries, the motors, pay a staff, print the internal housing, build a distribution network, get in the door with these developers, you'd be welcome to do it, but this is the same argument in asking why we pay plumbers so much. Insurance, schooling, building their skills, acquiring a van and client list. There's a lot going on that needs to be accounted for if a company is gonna break even. Doesn't mean it's affordable and it doesn't mean you need it, but practically speaking, it's priced exactly where it needs to be.

Yeah, it's expensive. Sucks everything in this sector costs so much. But I really admire that they're breaking the chain of command. So many cheap stocks, ear muffs that direct the stock audio, batteries that attach to the stock strap. All these $10 Amazon buys and then you've got maybe 5 companies actually moving the line. I really hope they find a way of reducing the price, but it doesn't change the fact that they're doing what nobody else will.

I get the appeal for what it brings to the immersion factor, but I think that price-tag is mighty steep for what it does (even if it does it really well)... I could almost get another headset for that. Definitely a premiere product at that range, and probably not gonna be in the cards for most blue-collar/budget consumers (like myself).

So far as I know you can't specify the key, rather it looks at the games layout and interprets what the trigger function is. Most often it's the right trigger.

@@stilljustaguy I just tried Space Pirate Trainer with the companion app using the steam backward compatibility. It works really well. A nice satisfying kick with every shot. @@10speed4 this is of course considering you've got a decent router and that you're within 8 feet of it with line of sight. I'm using a NightHawk WiFi 6. My computer is upstairs but I sometimes play downstairs with the bigger play area. To solve this I piped Ethernet from my modem and router downstairs up through the wall to a second router by my computer. I turned the modem into a bridge and named the 5G WiFi "Upstairs". This way whether I'm upstairs or downstairs I'm next to a router. Just pick the correct Wi-Fi from within the headset. The location of the PC shouldn't matter. It's just the router that matters.

Maybe add a magnetic grip that stays attached to the left controller and would allow it to be stuck to the provolver when it's needed
@bringhurstvr

@@djaroud there's already a magnetic grip that attaches the left controller. If you're talking about for the arm that links the left controller and the gun, I don't think magnets works be strong enough. I think a simpler solution would have been to have a notch along the front of the gun, shaped similarly to the rail on the back. If it were built in a way so the front extender just slid down it, you could lock it in with some kind of a clasp. From there it would be easier to remove than the right controller itself. Just my two cents.

@NousLabs even if it did weigh more than a pistol, I think the immersion it brings would be worth it. It's too heavy for some rapid fire games like pistol whip, but it's perfect for more measured experiences like Alyx.
