It was desperation from committing so much money to the pot on a draw and seeing a bluff out. I made a guy fold in this same situation at 2/5 once where I bet the flop with open ended and the guy check-raised me with a set. the turn paired the board and the river double paired top pair and the guy was so certain I beat his hand by having queens full he folded on the river to my 200 dollar all in when there was like 1500 in the pot. He was visibly disgusted by the river and when I shoved I was like "I just realized how bad I played this hand." bluffing the Queens full when I really had Jack high. He showed his pocket 33s full trying to get a read and folded. Another player yelled "show the bluff" but I just smirked and mucked.

I’ve never seen Nick take his glasses off then hold his head in his hands, may have given it away. It may not have mattered Luda probably calling anyway even tho he hated the river. A battle as old as time Nick vs Luda

Well he probably averages an insane amount of hands per week between all the games he's in(these guys all play a lot off stream as well) comes down to balancing ranges/fun for the table and stream and they don't highlight the hands where he raises great cards and everyone folds or mucks bad cards to a raise the majority of the time. We only see so much and most of that is hands that are out of the norm or huge pots for entertainment sake. If everyone only raised premiums and suited connectors all the time and never "gambled with insane raises" from time to time its a quite boring game....

Not a casual punt at all. That was a skilled bluff. Given that Nick called a 4 bet (Typical for AK) it was very likely that Nick could have had a K. Indeed, someone with AK could easily be calling the whole way through with that board texture.

I saw an angle here when he called, am I out of line? Nicks face is buried in his hands and Luda sees this. He makes a speech about that he should call but doesn’t do it. He just holds the chips in the air during the speech. As soon as Nick says ”You got it” he puts the chips in. He never said call nor put the chips in before Nick made it clear he was beat.
