Conan went to new heights after Andy left. Everyone thought how would Conan host the show by himself and still be funny. Conan just leaned to it and instead of talking to Andy, he started talking to an audience and improving and ad-libbing and adding one liners to things he just said. Brilliance.

He's gotten older, his humor has evolved and changed. His current humor is fine, he's an intelligent guy who thinks on his feet, most of his stuff is not scripted, aside from the premise. His team is practically the same team he took from NBC, so it's not like he started working with a new crew

3:05 - to understand what happened here you have to know that a week before this show Conan, by using his secret time-travelling powers, actually went back in time to when Max Weinberg was just a little kid. Conan was so surprised and shaken at seeing the child version of Max Weinberg that he said the words "hold on Conan" to himself, as a means of steadying his nerves. But somehow Max could hear the time-travelling Conan, and so affected was little simpleton Max by the words coming from nowhere that he fell into a seizure and grew up repeating those fateful words every hour of every day,. His nickname became 'Hodor T'Cannon', and then, much later, when he was hired as a musician for Conan's popular television show, he blurted out his own nickname in the middle of a bit about a dead canary. And then, even later, in a very exciting episode, in the middle of a series that was good but not as good as previous ones, he died protecting Conan from a marauding and dissatisfied crowd of audience members by holding the studio doors shut, and many people across the land were upset and did their own KZitem reaction videos at how sad it all was, but moved pretty swiftly on, after all it's not like he was an integral character, and anyway the show was never the same after they brought Conan back from the dead after he was stabbed by the Night's Watch. Thus ended the sad tale of Max Weinberg, aka Hodor T'Cannon.
