Let me tell you about enemy’s in the family. My grandmother had a multimillion dollar home that was supposed to go to her three children. (My mom, aunt and uncle) Literally while my grandmother was on her death bed my uncle convinced her to change the will and leave the house to her. She did and less than a year later he lost the house after he took out loans. I can’t get over it because the house should still be in the family. I don’t even go to that area anymore. His life was hell after what he did.

I grew up with him and I remember there was a party in the plaza buildings in Mt. Vernon NY. He was so excited, he came in the party shouting that he made a record, I can’t repeat some of the cus words and negative responses he received. I thought that was so evil. It didn’t stop Heavy he went on to become a prominent and very talented rapper, he was so good at it. He invited me to his very first show in Union Square 14st New York City, if I remember right they shot the place up and everyone bolted outside, cops was acting erratic almost ran us over with the squad car. I had some talent myself and he asked me to put it on tape and give it to him but I was afraid because it wasn’t copy written I needed help but was reluctant to ask. Besides I had some problems at home with some toxic relatives. If there was a cinderfella it was me. I didn’t dear tell Heavy what I was going through but I wish I did. He was very energetic and full of life and zestful type of person. Very positive. When I received the news he passed I was troubled. I even got news that one of the boys who were his dancers fell off a balcony and passed away, I believe that was before Hev passed away. Shout out to Peat Rock and C L smooth. Also Masters of Ceremony, Dan Baron Grand Master Puba Maxwell. Robin Gibbons and her sister Stephany. Last but not least The Cintron family who made the hit song 🎶 entitled, “ I hear music in the streets” and their little brother Hector. We all knew each other really good we were all friends. My love and respect to you all. Peace!!! Rest In Peace Heavy D. I was amazed at how you could move so swift and coordinated being a big guy!!! Last but not least Mr Albe Shore. There’s only ONE rapper my grandma loved and it was HEAVY D. I remember when I told my grandma that “Heavy D And The Boys” was preforming on “Soul Train” she was waiting for him 🤣 in front of the television. May Heavy D and Bessie May Anderson RIP Edit: Can I say that the video “Narrator” has a very very beautiful voice

Big Daddy will always be one of my favorite Heavy D songs. I grew up listening to Heavy D as a child growing up in the 80's and 90's having been born in the late 70's. Heavy D will always be a part of my childhood, and I plan on having Big Daddy playing at my upcoming wedding whenever my wife and I finally tie the knot. RIP Heavy D.....one of the greats.

I had the biggest crush on Heavy D. He could dance and I thought it was so cool when he’d say “diddly diddly dee” 😅 When he debuted Monifah I immediately became a fan of hers too. My heart broke when he passed. I’m curious why he never married the mother of his daughter although I’m not judging. Rest his soul. One of the last great artist no doubt.
