If you kept your videos to about 3 meals or snacks . 15 to 20 minutes are ideal. I enjoy each and every one of them. No complaints from me, brother. I knew right away that you did not like Noah's pudding by your reaction.

Dont like the breakfast place , they make for the morning to much fat things and its a place like a „Lokanta“ what we say( like a canteen) not like a breakfast place . There are much much better places to go with realy traditional breakfadt … no olives , no honey with kaymak no traditional jams etc…..

It seems rare when you come across something that you don't like. I have often wondered how you would handle that, or if you would even keep it in the video. Do you cut out most dishes when you don't like it? Or does it just happen as rarely as it seems. I laughed at your first reaction to the Noah's pudding;"Really?" The stuffed eggplant looked amazing. Thanks for sharing!

It's confusing to see Melemen/ Menemen made like that. I've seen it in multiple videos now. But menemen is always tomato red in my experience and how I grew up eating it. Minced beef, a ton of tomatoes, green pepers etc with a couple of eggs broken on top. It's a beefy sauce with chunks of egg throughout. But these people are making a more omlet type deal. Also hate seeing sucuk in Melemen. Esp with how much they make Melemen like an omlet it basically turns into sucuk with eggs which is a staple Turkish breakfast thing like Melemen but completely different tasting. Only true Melemen debates in Turkey is 1. Should it contain onion (yes it should) 2. Melemen or Menemen? I grew up calling it Melemen. Only realized it was called Menemen by Turks from other regions when my friend from Izmir looked at me strange when I called it a Melemen. P.s really kinda confused about the Melemens I'm seeing in these videos. My family is from central Anatolia. But having eaten it at home, at the homes of my mates from Izmir, Kırşehir, Adana etc also ordered it multiple times in Turkey (Istanbul, Canakkale, Samsun, Çorum, Kırşehir Ankara etc) I've never seen it like that

Nice videos but I have to say, some of the descriptions of foods are completely off: that quince actually being an artichoke for one and su boregi has nothing in common with lasagna except containing wheat and being laeyered.

Kuzguncuk is such a sweet neighborhood! Its name means “Little Raven.” Hopefully you can visit Istanbul in spring sometime; the Bosphorus districts especially are so beautiful. The sweetness in the celery root does come from a little bit of sugar (and sometimes they cook it with orange juice) but also from all the onions and carrots you start out with. Lemon juice is added in the cooking too, as well as some fresh squeezed over the top. I’ve never had it with quince but that sounds really nice.
