You are living my dream . . . I have a 2-year old Sulcata and he/she is soooo darn adorable. We live in Seattle, WA so it can be a challenge in the cooler months. This summer we've record heat and Tortuga has free roam of our 1/2 acre that has been secured and planted with tortoise friendly plants.

I got to witness box turtles breaking out with the beak that breaks the shell. They walk around with the eggshell for about 10 days. It has to come off on it’s on. Their head looks so big with their tiny legs. ❤️

The enclosure for Slinky and Pinky, Chandler said “it’s Disney land for them!” I agreed from the bottom of my heart, Also, your land is a totally Paradise for all of your animals for sure🐢🦎 There’s no threats, they can get a nice sunshine (rainy days are also important for them I think), if I was a tortoise, I do wanna be one of yours😃☀️

Hello, Sully owner from the great north. I rescued a year old sulcata who the owner just wasn't aware of how large these animals get and couldn't take it with them when they moved. I live on a horse farm so once it gets larger we are turning a pasture into a sulcata pen for the warmer months and we are going to convert an insulated 2 stall horse barn into the winter shed. It's a pretty large building now that we pulled the panels down for the stalls. I think a sulcata will have a blast in it and with our outlets we can hang plenty of basking spots and uvb. Pretty excited to set it all up and depending on the sex of this tortoise I might rescue 2 more sulcata.

I think this is a key to reptipe keeping. Quality over quantity. This goes for enclosures and animals. If you have space for 3large enclosure but you stick 10 small ones in that space, the animals suffer. Sometimes its hard to admit when you are doing something that might not be the best. Another awesome video and I want a new bike. I still have a GT from around 2004.

I am so happy that Slinky and Pinky are getting along and are both able to enjoy this amazing habitat together ❤ Maybe love will happen, maybe not? But the most important thing is that they both get to live their lives as they would in the wild. Well as close as possible as they would in the wild! Are there any enclosure plans for laggy to get a new enclosure? You've got so many monitors now, they'll grow and will need bigger enclosures eventually, but I'm sure you've got plans for them down the road 😉

I have a small Sulcata . He stays in my room but I take him out for sunshine and grass smelling. I also let him say hi to my boxturtles that are overwintering in my greenhouse. He is too small for momma to leave him unattended at all. I’m 60 so I’m making sure my life insurance will go to take care of my pets bc we all have to go sometime. Hopefully he will grow old with me. I love your paradise❤️

I really love what you are doing, I am also going to Florida in 2024, if and when I go may I go and have a tour of the Kamp? I also wanna meet all the other reptile youtubers. I am now on a conservation route and I work as a PHD assistant now. Also when we can travel again I invite you over to come and see my “sanctuary” for herpetofauna in Australia.

Wow that's great, I had hatch sea turtles in a beach nearby here in Mexico and my 2 types of water turtles T. Scripta Elegans and T. Venusta several generations, since I was in Junior High School every year after a big rain there's a bunch that are being born. It's an amazing experience to see them hatch. They also look quite funny and cute with their little teeth sticking out at the front of their beak and their little bodies, smaller than a screw cap. Really exciting!

My sulc likes hibiscus leaves but so do my bunnies. Thank u for talking out the natural food they eat . I grow a lot too for my pets and I like other parents to know what might be right out their window. I sell cactus pads on eBay and they grow fast so they can chomp on one while you grow your own. The flowers r delicious, too and the fruit you can throw in a smoothie for yourself!

Did you have to do anything to get them to eat the Tortoise Chow? I have a baby, around 6-8 months old, and 'e doesn't touch the pellets. I tried some timothy hay, didn't touch it. I tried 3 greens, but it was kale and another type of green that is not recommended. Ren (the tortoise) will eat lettuce hearts (not the round ones) and cactus pads, and that's about it. I do spray Zilla Calcium Supplement (daily) and Zilla Vitamin Supplement with Beta Carotene on the lettuce. I've tried softening the Tortoise Chow with water and grape Pedialyte as per recommendations from the people at the pet store, but Ren just walks on it. Never even attempts to bite at it. Can I just go out in the back yard and get some grass clippings?
