@Grassland-ix7mu

I actually got fooled on the last shot where she seems surprised that the director and Dr.K thinks her take was better. Her expression seems so genuine. All their reactions in that shot seem so genuine. Good acting.
@NikHem343
6 ай бұрын
@@randomgal that’s a very valid point but there could be multiple other reasons for that. Maybe it’s the usual film crew and by now they know that some funny interactions is gonna happen between Alok and Kruti, so they just pointed a camera at her, hoping to get some neat making of material out of it. It just all seems to genuine for me. I’ve seen Dr. K act out bits for this kinda stuff and he is just not an actor.
@randomgal
6 ай бұрын
@@NikHem343 I doubt it was all genuine. Because the way they framed the shot with Kruti was made to look like we are observing her. It is made to look like a hidden camera to seem more genuine. If her reaction was the goal of the shot, why not point the camera frontal at and more zoomed in so they could get a much better shot of her reaction? My answer to that is because it was clearly scripted. Also Dr. K being in the background walking and ylying on the couch which is just barely enough in the frame so we can still see him is incredibly counter intuitive. And lastly, Dr. K is a master of himself, his thoughts, and his emotions. He knows himself so incredibly well. I highly doubt he didn't know he would struggle with his own script while writing it and thinking about it. He has been doing this for many years now so I don't buy it.

Talked to a scientist, therapist and professor specialized in trauma and dissociation in my psychology university a while back, because I wanted to get answers on how to cure the chronic dissociation I am experiencing for 2 years (accompanied by cognitive impairments). Unfortunately, she said her 15 years of research taught her, that the brain is hella complex, and that nearly all what you find about dissociation also from modern research is incomplete or wrong. It is simply the best that people could hypothesize and compile, but there is tons of counterevidence also for those findings. Findings are inconsistent. Probably though, neither the Nervous System, nor the Hemispheric Communication is broken. Still I am having high hopes for the trauma guide. As I tried all. Especially if there is meditations and yoga or such. All the scientist advised me to do is live normal life and wait until one day dissociation goes away on its own (which btw it already did once, twice or thrice, but never lasted more than a day)
@maximbut1856

Hi there, i saw your comment and couldn't pass by, since i found your description interesting because i can highly relate a lot to the expirience of dissociation (after persistent childhood trauma). As individuals with dissociative disorders (which are controversial disorders) expirience different the types of symptoms, characteristics and cognitive deficits which are caused by different reasons (which could be trauma, drugs, other predisposing diagnosis). As far as i know there is a problem of high complexity and low amount of research for successful treatment of dissociation, but I would believe that the such treatments as DBT / dialectical behavioral therapy (based from 6 main points all used together), is really an effective treatment worth considering in case of dissociative disorders. I would believe whats important acknowledging, is that in case if a person would search for answer constantly, could also lead to the symptoms getting far worse, (as i expirienced so myself), but the mindset would be by far the most important thing. As far as i know hormonal balancing by changing mindset, having a healthier routine, less stressful lifestyle and supplements could possibly play a role in recovery. It could also be a good option to use neuroplasticity methods to avoid repetitive, linear or unhealthy kinds of thinking, and as well improving the healthy aspects of by contributions to lifestyle by such examples as getting enough sleep, being as mindful as possible, not suppressing healthy emotions, doing more spontaneous activities, learning new skills, avoiding toxic positivity, avoiding fully fixed beliefs, avoiding perfectionism, not take some choices in life situations always seriously or the easiest way. I would think that it as well very important to acknowledge that a traumatized mindset, if unchanged, could lead to more dissociation, therefore I would think it is nessassary to keep fighting against the symptoms of derealization or depersonalization states. I'm not aware of what states you're experiencing, but I genuinely hope that any of this information would be helpful or worth consideration.
@thersten

@@maximbut1856 ding ding ding! You nailed it. Thank you for your wonderful post. It covers so much I found to be true. I also want to emphasize that It's so important to get the habits like good sleep and healthy thought patterns to take hold so that emotional regulation can improve. And that constant searching for answers can cause more problems. On a side note I found that when asking up groggy, when the ego is somewhat suppressed; is a time when disassociation tends to go away and real connections can be felt. So maybe a key is to work on those strong emotions that the subconscious mind can't seem to let go of in order to free ones self from the pain caused by the demanding and destructive ego. Weed helps too.

I'd love to learn it but can only do it when speaking about own experiences so far, otherwise it comes across a bit too showoff, slightly competitive or possibly too formal/educated. Can't wait for my new hard drive to finally give it a real go. Maybe I can contribute to HG in some way possibly Dating or alternative Values. I'll definitely check out the Guide to Trauma. Me too I am a classical hatha yoga teacher trained by Sadhguru, now facing difficulties how to approach people 😊 my wife is also a yoga teacher and ayurveda and medicine doctor, so I encouraged her to step into public as people will accept her more than me just an engineer and a yoga teacher, as she has medical and Ayurveda degrees, but she is a bit shy, she is trying to do her best, I hope one day she will have more courage. Anyway, I need to scale up myself, pity that people are so judgemental these days, even if I look not very well, they will say that the yoga I teach is crap, because it doesn't work to you, but actually maybe it works, it is just maybe I was damaged much more than others so best what yoga could have done to me is not the perfect example. This comment I writing after watching your podcast with Dr.Mike, people don't have courage to try yoga, meditation, ayurveda. Too much disbelieving (believing or disbelieving means not to use intelect). Atleast from the intellectual point of view people should experiment, but why they are not experimenting? Lack of intelect? If they experiment, then they will have experiance and then they will know spirituality exist same as thoughts which we can't measure, but we have experiance of thoughts 😊

Trauma IS the missing link, not just for this community, but for mental health in general. Thank you so much for this new module.

Kruti a better youtuber than Dr K who's been streaming for like 5 years now haha It's been so great seeing HG be born and then grow and be developed to the point where there is a webpage now, with a design that fits the HG idea and guides and all. Awesome !
