I don't get 6:20. I'm a beginner rider, was only few times on small track. I was trying recently to find out how should I act properly and only stuff that I found was that it's up to the overtaker to do it safely and I should just stick to my line and let the overtaker figure out how to pass me. What did the guy do wrong?
@prostynick
2 жыл бұрын
@@2fingertobi OK, so for now I shouldn't sweat much, but two questions now: I guess it's easy enough to tell you're "that slow" when you shouldn't be? But then again - is it in that case expected, if you feel much slower, to stay off the line? Like... always then? Should he constantly look over his shoulders if someone appears behind and then stay off the line?
@prostynick

The slow guy didn't do anything wrong. He doesn't have eyes behind. It's always the responsibility of the overtaking rider to do it safely.
@111jkjk
2 жыл бұрын
He was in the wrong group. If you are unsure, go in a group lower than what you think and youll be fine. That guy was in the fast group so when he was way over on the right, it looked like he was getting ready to exit or something because he was going so slow then he suddenly dived in. Its still the overtakers responsibility to make a safe pass but its also up to the track coordinator to ensure groups are similar pace.
@laz1go286
2 жыл бұрын
@@111jkjk it was not his fault. The organizers definitely made a mistake letting him ride in the slow group. Normally every bike gets an electronic sticker on the screen at scrutineering. Once they see that you are off the pace ,the pull you out of the group immediately. At least that's how it works here in Australia..

That guy at the end is an idiot if over or under taking anyone on a track it is all your responsibility to know where you can take them and if you collide with them it is your fault. People who are in front of you don't have eyes in the back of their head so they don't know where you are coming from. But awesome video
@laz1go286
2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I also think it was Murtanios' fault. You need to see and assess situations from behind. If a rider is to slow in front of you but you are close to the apex then don't try to undertake as all riders are aiming for the apex. It's a basic rule. I had a similar situation on track. I'm on a 600 and a slower guy in front of me on a 400. I was also thinking first let's go for the apex, I'm much faster. But then in the last moment an alarm went off in my head and I decided to go on the outside of him. In that very moment he closed the door and hit the apex. I still had speed advantage and cruzed around him on the outside. The mistake in this video was also made buy the organizers. They should have made a better group setting/splitting for different rider levels. There shouldn't be such speed difference within a group unless someone has a technical problem with the bike.
@Murtanio
2 жыл бұрын
@@laz1go286 "unless someone has a technical problem with the bike. " That's exactly what I thought. I was 3 times faster for the same distance and thought he is having some problems and stays off line. I didn't want to overtake in the first place, but after seeing him going waaaaay too slow, he must have had problems. But he didn't
@laz1go286
2 жыл бұрын
@@Murtanio fair enough bro. At the end of the day I wasn't there. I could only judge from your onboard. He could have had a technical issue for sure, at the same time, this could have been his very first track day too. You are a very fast and skilled rider. I guess you need to be ready for everything that is happening in front of you. Luckily was no collision and both parties came out fine from this event. I personally would appreciate more engine/exhaust sounds and less music in your edit, but still, absolutely love it .. Keep on doing the outstanding videos..
