The thing I do is observe when I get in that lazy spot, then I'm like 'ight chill one thing at a time', and the next day I wake up eat a healthy breakfast and hop on my bike and ride round the city just to enjoy the moment but to get more fit. From then it's like the universe knows what I'm trynna to do and it keeps in store more fitness within my life, swear down this works fitness like running, cycling going to the gym is my addiction when I get addicted to the lazy spot on a phone playing too much games, love this video man speaking the truth and more kids, teenagers/ adults need to hear his more beacuse this is more common then we think, all the love man ❤

3:50 I struggle with this as well. I have bursts of motivation every so often that feels like it overwhelms that resistance within me. However, when I've got major assignments to work on (Essay, Study for exam), I tend to go for smaller, more easy tasks like organizing my To-Do list more efficiently, outlining/working on lesser assignments, sometimes even tiding up my desk or room. I am being productive by doing these things, but I'm still avoiding work towards the pressing responsibilities. I think it's that instant gratification you mentioned. Funny enough, this video popped up on my feed while procrastinating.

If you don't do it now it will never get done. The only moment that exists is the present moment, later is an illusion. So by keep saying "I'ma do it later" you'll never actually do it because when later comes you'll still say the same thing. What is helped me is having a do list everyday and just marking it out once I complete each thing. I also add words of motivation to make sure I stay strong

I just found your channel from another video & wanted to say it’s really refreshing to see people my age (I turn 20 at the end of the month) that I can relate to. I’ve unfortunately struggled with perfectionism for years like you mention in the video. I’ve watched a lot of self help videos and content on procrastination so I’ve heard a lot of these points but honestly just seeing you doing your thing and relating to you helped me in a different way if that makes sense. You have a really natural energy about you that grabbed my attention and I’m coming to realize more and more that I don’t have to be over the top or edit like crazy or even engage with other social media platforms in order to have an audience. I’m gonna be real I haven’t even finished the video I paused to comment because this inspired me and gave me a bunch of ideas on how to move forward lol. Keep up the good work!

I’m trying to simplify everything into my own words from these videos so it sticks: - resistance is the outcome of something that provides you pleasure or gratification instantly, basically, why work hard if I’m already comfortable and it’s easy? Note to self: being a people pleaser and being easily swayed by opinions is NOT GOOD, gotta be confident in one’s self, then you will see who is real to you and you can be real to others.

my life sucks because i procrastinate a lot 😔😔i am gonna be 24 this year and havent really done anything i said i was gonna do since i was 15 yrs old . I really lack discipline like a lot and i am still a student , and what i noticed about myself over the years is that i am extremely good at the course i am doing and thats why i wanna study till Phd(Honours degeee now) but i have always settled for less marks because i always found a reason to procrastinate and not work hard like I was supposed to . Hurts me so bad when i think about the wasted years but i am i willing to change and thats why i am here ,I am addicted to my phone as well and so want to remove my social media accounts ,go dark and keep myself disciplined so i can hit my goals harder each time🥺🥺like i should have done in all these years . Hope it goes well for me and i can improve my grades ❤🤧🤧sorry for my long rant but thats how i feel.

Just a thought but a lot of the older generation now, the adults now like our teachers and parents. Atleast in my experience I’ve had very wise people who are confident in themselves and know how to handle things, I think social media has taken time out of our lives so that we don’t have any time for ourself to reflect and improve on what’s really important. I can see that in people like my mom. I think it greatly contributes to the newer generations being the “worst” in some peoples opinions and is why some mental health issues have skyrocketed. I’ve been watching a bunch of your videos for an hour now and these are just some random thoughts I needed to get down. Constantly being in touch with everyone and not having a break creates this new situation and reality for some and it takes away from what they really want that’s beneficial for them in the long run, not to say that spending time with your friends is meaningless, absolutely make memories, but like sending TikTok’s back and forth, compare that to the bonding people had before. They always had to meet up to hang out or actually be on a call when telephones were there (ofc people do this today but I’m just addressing this whole social media thing and how people bond over short relatable clips with captions), and when they weren’t doing that they did what they found interesting instead of scrolling mindlessly. I hope that makes sense

I enjoy listening to your videos, I find some videos (and just the general world at times) to be very overwhelming. I don’t realize how stimulating everywhere around me is until I get home, and when I don’t have the urge to do anything. But, what I absolutely love is cleaning when I’m home alone. I’m alone, with my thoughts, I don’t have to talk to anyone for a period of time, it’s just me myself and I. I make a list in the morning of what I need to do, and because I am home alone, I don’t have anyone to worry about (as in, talking to people, socializing, etc). I put lo fi music on the tv and I leave my phone in my room. I leave it under my pillow so if I ever go into my room for whatever reason I won’t see it, and I’m less likely to use something if I don’t see it. Maybe what I said makes sense but maybe it doesn’t. Sorry if my comment is long. Edit: I made the comment BEFORE finishing the video and I agree, out of sight, out of mind.
