If you really want to make players scared of committing a suspendable offense, there's a pretty simple change you can make to the rules on how those are handled. If a team commits an offense worthy of a suspension against another team - flagrant late hit, stomping a player, etc. - the team that had the offense committed against them should be allowed to choose which games the player is suspended for, once they know the length of the suspension. For example, Gronkowski's elbow when playing against the Bills. The Bills should have been able to look at the Patriots' schedule and say "okay, we're picking THIS game he can't play in." Most likely for division opponents this is the next game they play against them, if there's another game to be played. If a team commits an offense worthy of a suspension that was NOT specifically against another team (PED usage, physical altercation with an official), the NFL should look at the team's remaining schedule and pick the most important games remaining that season and those are the games in which the player won't play. Games within the division are given priority. If a player commits two suspension-worthy offenses in the same season, the choice of games would be expanded to include playoff games, even if the offenses were not in the playoffs. So, for example, if Gronk had laid that elbow and got suspended, but this was his second suspension of the season, Buffalo could choose to sit on that penalty all the way up to the Super Bowl, knowing if the Patriots made it there, Buffalo could say "fuck you Gronk, you don't get to go." Long story short it just shouldn't be the immediate next game or games.

Mice idea but honestly that kind of will kill fun match ups and stuff. Also, what if it is the last game of the season?

No, make them play 1 man down for the rest of the game. They shouldn't get to replace the ejected player. That behavior would end quickly

Glad they showed the Hines Ward. So many people thought this dude was a hard blocker, but this was exactly what a vast majority of his "hard blocks" were, easy blind sided hits.

Gronk and Agholor aren't hated, they just had one moment. Some people you could include: Richie Incognito and Cortland Finnegan

Gronkowski was 100% justified, refs played favorites and he was interfered with hard. IF the refs don't enforce the rules its up to you. HOCKEY RULES

no he wasn't he went out of his way to try and hurt the guy that is not justified even if the foul should have been called on the defender it makes him look really petty and like a complete asshole in that situation

Can't blame him. If some asswipe rips my QB's helmet off and then tries to take his head off with it, I'ma end the guy's career. He isn't a football player anyway.

Gronk shouldn't have done that but its the one case in all of these i sort of understand. He was being fouled by White all game long no calls. On that play in this video he had illegal contact, pass interference and defensive holding which the refs didnt call any of them and let the Bills have the ball like it was all good. It wasnt and Gronk over reacted definitely but it must've been extremely frustrating
