Dude, you are a better man than I am. Some things I tackle myself, but that looked way more complicated then what I would like to get into. Good job!

Thanks man! When I first got into bikes, I hadn't even done an oil change. Now I'm removing camshafts and setting timing lol.

You always have to check any manual as your doing work so it doesn't take you down a rabbit hole. BTW, I years long gone to work on cars we used a Motor or Chilton manual. One big book that covered all makes and models by year. Next came Chilton model specific manuals which used the phrase (dealer serviced item) way too often and didn't tell you anything more useful than spark plug gap. Haynes then came out by model and covered 98% of the vehicle. I ended up buying factory shop manuals for my rides back in 1978. I still have most of them. My current ride is a 98 C1500 and there are 7 friggen manuals in the set.

I hear you! My issue is that this manual, in particular, is flat out wrong about this procedure. I mean, it makes sense that you shouldn't turn a motor that doesn't have tension on the cam/timing chain, but it also makes sense to follow a manual's procedure. The way it's written can ruin people's bikes.
