Only a review would say that. I thought that the first week I owned my Mazda 3(they all said it was a cheap BMW). I have owned 2 of them and may buy a 3rd. However you will be very let down if you are expecting it to be like a BMW. The longer it lives, even less it is like a BMW. Still a good value. It is what it is.

I have just ordered one of these CX60, the PHEV version as a daily company car, in Homura spec, red exterior and black interior and it’s really nice. It’s a shame Mazda don’t offer in Europe that brown / tobacco leather interior I would have picked that over regular black interior. I hope to have it in a couple of days, can’t give a go! (And also let rest my c63s V8 biturbo which has become a keeper after knowing that AMG will discontinue that glorious V8).

Hello, it has been almost a year that you've had your car. Just wondering if you have time and are willing to let us know your long term experience with the car. I am interested in PHEV or diesel CX-80 once that is available in the UK which is based on this and the CX-90 from the US. It would be great to get your view and whether you are still with the car, and if it feels stealth luxurious enough coming from a Mercedes AMG C63s? Thank you!

The most impressive thing about this car is the new RWD-based platform. Great RWD proportions and strong six. It's different from the typical Japanese front-driver. Hope it's successful. Looks pretty good, though I always dislike the upswept rear side window. It's illogical.

Warning for people who are planning to buy this car - i have the homura petrol version. The fuel tank capacity is 40 litres and can drive upto a maximum 390 kilomètres.(plus 50-60 kms from EV mode) None of the reviews state this explicitly. Dear mazda, luxury is not just look and feel. You need to give atleast 50L. This beast is not a city car, i want to drive long distances with it. So i need to keep stopping every 200-300kms to refuel. Disappointed with this. Such a big car and no fuel capacity. Rest of it is fine.

Test drove both petrol and diesel. Engine: petrol is more refined but not punchy with huge turbo lag; diesel pulls hard if you push really really hard, not refined quite noisy, also with huge turbo lag. Transmission: very lazy unit, old 6-speed auto in CX-30 is way more responsive than this 8-speed multi-clutch. Chassis: not agile, cannot feel it is rear-wheel biased AWD. Suspension and tires: need better tunning, the suspension is soft but the tires are quite hard, they are not cohesive. not agree with some reviewers about the stiffness of the damper, they are ok. Car: way too heavy and very bad body control, you feel unsafe with huge body roll if you push through some tight corners. Conclusion: maybe more premium than the cx5 on the surface, but way worse than the cx5 when you drive. Autogefühl is right, they need to rework hard on this car in the future, it is very premature if purchase it now

very interesting take. handling was defs better than a CX-5 at pace. It's heavier and wider than a CX-5 so it's going to feel more planted than the lighter CX-5. We managed to get up to some good speeds to test the handling, and didn't ever feel 'unsafe with huge body roll...' Agree with the ride feeling a little harsh across some bumps. Probably would be worth spending some more time with the car if you're asking me.
