Hey! We definitely need to see some tinkering with level editing, adding locations, loading them, etc. Just kind of pushing the limits of the toolkit, figuring out what's even possible. Things like level editing, custom dialogues, etc.

There was a mod for enemy AI level scaling that would raise their levels, but not very cleanly. I hope this means now we can get better scaling mods 😊

spell & shield did a video on this, he has a theory that seems pretty plausible, i think contractually they can't offer mod support that alters the campaign and story.... so they locked these functions with a simple if var=false.... so to make intentionally easy for players to discover how to unlock the rest

Would definitely love a video going step by step how to create various types of mods. things like stand alone adventures of course. But also simpler things like adding things to shopkeepers inventories, or adding new shopkeepers all together. Anything and everything would help! Thanks for making this vid!

@@Chato13 Looking forward to it! I am a bit new to this, I followed your video but it is asking me to set my "P4 settings" prior to it launching. I had launched the Toolkit before downloading the unlocked mod but now with the unlocked mod it wont launch until i put in P4 settings into a little box, but I have no idea what that means. Any ideas? Edit: disabled P4 and everything seems to be going fine... wonder if that is required haha

Sorry to bother you, but I need some advice. I’ve set up the editor, including the patched DLLs. I’m working on my test mod - I’m trying to rotate a statue by 180 degrees at the entrance to the castle (where Withers is) in Act 1 on the map WLD_Crashsite_D. The statue is DEC_GEN_Statue_Wizard_B_Broken_A, which you might remember from the basic toolkit guide. I can rotate the statue normally, move it slightly, and test it directly in the editor with my character to make sure it works. I do a local publish and then add the files normally, everything seems correct, but the statue doesn’t rotate as if my changes weren’t recorded at all. I even tried to take the object into my mod and modify the material, and those changes show up, but I can’t move or rotate the statue. I think the changes aren’t being saved, so they don’t show up later. How can I fix this?

I would love to see you guiding us on how to create something like the menu screen background from scratch. My intention is to create scenes so I can take a screenshot and use/show them on my online tabletop RPG (vtt) for my players.

I think the most important thing for me is how to do custom character feats. Because all of the BG3 feats are garbage for like 90% of characters. Its very hard to do a gimmic or a fun build when you are limited af

The amount of hand-holding and babying Larian did around the Toolkit is just shameful. This is how it should have been from the start.

I don't think it was Larian who decided to limit the Toolkit's capabilities... It is well known that some big bad company sees D&D players as obstacles between them and their money, and releasing the full Toolkit's potential was against that company's evils plan to monetize every single aspect of D&D... I won't say that company's name because I don't want Hazbro / Wizards of the Coast sending the Pinkertons to my house tho...

Do you happen to know how one would go about making a Warlock capable of throwing their Pact Weapon if it has the Throwing tag? There was a mod for it pre-Patch 7, but it hasn't been updated, so I'd like to at least be able to do it myself.

Hello, I am working on a new custom campaign with the Modding Toolkit. I have written over the last year and a half a new overarching plot and also subplots for new quests and missions. The first plot is the continuation of the game after completing the main plots. Looking for others to help work on the mod campaign as well. I don't think so. I member in the DOS2 engine I needed to enable it to delete certain things. I will have it unticked for now. unless something comes up.

Appreciate the tutorial thank you! Since you have experience with this tool, are you familiar with the process of changing equipment of certain NPC. I have modeled a sword and a armor that I want to equip zevlor with but I can't figure it out really. I did manage to find the place where I could change his equipment under a drop down menu, but there I could only choose either the armor or the sword, not both.
