Shoutout to NORCA for building the new Black Mountain trail network here in AB, the whole area is incredibly well made so far and new stuff gets added all the time. Some of the best trails I've ridden! They're looking at having an official grand opening next summer if you'd like to continue your "checking out new trails" series 😉

Your videos riding with Dave and Nick are my favorite as they capture the best of feelings of riding with close friends. Chasing someone, or being chased, hooting and hollering, showing off and/or being silly, is often the best part of riding, vs. just the actual riding. I ride alone plenty, and love it, but the most rewarding and memorable rides are those with friends!

Every local organization in the US needs to spend a month in BC learning how to build a proper trail system. You guys up there don't know how good you have it!

Thought that noise was the Lewis brake rattle because those didn’t look like Intend levers. Then I realized that’s not the right bike. I knew I could count on the comments to point out the sound and I wasn’t wrong 😅 I like to joke that hunting down bike noises is a whole sub-hobby within MTB. Edit to add: as always, nicely done! Those trails look amazing too❤

lol, “rough conditions” that would be hero dirt in Utah. Dirt here is usually what I would describe as ball bearings on hardpark. I didn’t know what grip was until I went to PNW

Now that's a proper trail and flow while here in Sg trail is boring and very repetitive. Hopefully one day i can fly there to ride that awesome trail coz of the flow...it keeps going unlike in Sg which is pretty short flow.

Hi Dale! I recently got Onyx vesper hubs on my 2023 Norco Range since I want more of a "dead silent" bike just like yours. I'm wondering what you did to mute the cables rattling around inside your frame? Even with foam housing dampers, I am unable to silence the rattle. And of course with the carbon frame, the sound is only amplified inside of my top tube. Thanks.
@DaleStone
3 күн бұрын
Honestly... I just put up with it, and eventually switched frames. That frame is particularly hard to dampen the noise on, due to its oversized boxy tube cross sections. What makes it a good looking bike also happens to make it a very loud and echoey one... Sorry I can't be more help here! 🙂
@Prodiod
3 күн бұрын
Could try to zip tie the cables together inside the frame, if that's even possible. Might make it one light thud instead of multiple pings. My Roscoe had a zip tie built in on the down tube for that reason.

@@DaleStone Sounds good. I asked Braden as well but unfortunately no luck there either. ☹️ I’m just a little disappointed since the bike was literally dead silent when I got it from Braden. I’ll maybe just try to shove some more foam in there or something. Thanks anyways Dale!
