When I see people doing better than me that I feel like they shouldn’t, or I feel like I’m ‘better’ than them, it just makes me second guess myself and then starts to question if I am ‘better’ than them or was I just wrong from the start. I need to shift my mindset because I do genuinely believe I am better. But I always start to second guess and say ‘ye but are you.

An extreme amount of wisdom and value here sir. My version of "overnight success" includes losing my 7 year old daughter to a brain tumor which disrupted my life and business. While stumbling and just keeping it together over the last few years, my character traits and beliefs suffered. The one thing I did was digest and take small steps on all things marketing and sales. Emotionally, I'm healed enough to juggle the moving pieces of entrepreneurship again. I'm improving the traits and beliefs so that they catch up with my skill stacking. I almost doubled my revenue this month and hope to 10X it within the next 3-6 months. Your analogy of the ladder framework is on point. Continued success to all on this journey of self and business improvement.

Takeaways - Your BSC score is the lever to your success (Beliefs, Skills, Character) Beliefs - join communities to see success. Aim to become the most valuable first and then cash in those favours for specific skills when you need them. Skills - Learn from various types of education as you need it and to save time. But then learn best through massive specific action. Character - Most important. See your character traits on a spectrum. It's not binary, you have the trait but to a lower extent.

Hi Alex -- question for you in case you check comments. On the one hand, you're very consistent with your advice about focus and how to keep all your attention on one thing, one business until it's successful and then some. At the same time you personally launched multiple businesses after Gym Lords, including the supplement business as well as others. So the question is, at what point does that make sense to do? What is the milestone, inflection point, etc.? What did you achieve with the first one which made you feel like you could start a second and a third while still running the first?
@AlexanderMoen
2 жыл бұрын
I think he's roughly touched on this in the past. First, you go hard on one thing until you're an expert at it (one product, one platform, one way of selling, for example). Once that takes off to at least $1 million in revenue per year, you can now expand one of those (go to an extra platform, do a second complementary product, etc). Then, once you have that built up and your business doesn't require you to be hands-on in operating it, you really have a machine and wheelhouse of knowledge. At that point, it's easier for you to just be good at business in general and make multiple things take off and get them to the point where you don't need to be so hands-on.
