i love galactomyces, ever since i've started using products with it when i take it away i see the difference, my skin looks less tired, healthier, and just able to stay stronger when i use it. my go to is the cosrx essence, i've got no idea how many bottles i've used by now. i've tried the purito, but i like cosrx better because it plumps and hydrates my skin so well

@@suranada There are a few products that I would recommend: Paula's Choice Discoloration Repair Serum has 3% tranexamic acid, 5% niacinamide and 0.5 bakuchiol, this serum helped to fade a years old acne mark. The next serum that I'm currently using is the Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule with 4% niacinamide and 2% tranexamic acid which works similarly to the Paula's Choice and is a lot more affordable; they also have a cream in this line but have not tried it yet. The Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium line has tranexamic acid and vitamin c derivatives as the active ingredients and the line has a toner, emulsion, cream etc.

Hi, first of all, thank you for all of your hard work on this series. I think this is very informative. Would you happen to know a viable substitute for theClarins Total Eye Lift and Firming Smoothing Eye Cream (red bottle)? This is the only eye cream that I have used and noticed a great improvement. Unfortunately, at approximately $90 per bottle is too expensive. Thanks and have a nice day.

I'm not familiar with the Clarins eye cream but a quick look at the ingredients show caffeine and Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2. The Inkey List has a Caffeine Eye Cream with peptides (Matrixyl 3000) that can target well-aging goals. Might be worth trying to see how it compares!

I’m curious, do you know how the Mizon formula is able to formulate the copper peptides in with the retinol & niacinamide? I always thought copper peptides didn’t mix with retinol or niacinamide, which has made my TO Buffet + Copper Peptides hard to pair with even most of my moisturizers!

The information about copper peptide and retinol is conflicting. The ordinary advises to not use their copper peptide products with retinoids but it's not a hard and fast, proven confliction (contrary to what the internet says). If Mizon formulated with it I'm inclined to believe it's stable (amounts and packaging probably play a role here too). Is it a great retinol is the bigger question.

@KellyDriscoll

Retinol is best applied at night, it's the last step of your routine, either on top of or under your final moisturizer (on top of moisturizer can help if you have sensitive skin). Avoid eye area. Best to avoid combining Benzoyl peroxide, AHA or BHA with retinol in the same routine, they can be applied in separate routines.

For me personally, yes. My skin can handle niacinimide in small doses. If I try to use too many products with it, I get irritated. Right now, I use a sunscreen with it and that’s all. I also stay away from products with large percentages of it. I try to stay under 4%
@KellyDriscoll

It's an individual thing, some people find it too much and others aren't bothered. I have sensitive skin but use a lot of products that contain niacinamide and it's never been an issue. The best thing is to be aware that it can cause issues and monitor your skin as you use products with it to understand your unique skin tolerances.

I have the Cosrx 95 and I really want to get the Beauty of Joseon and layer them together but BOTH have niacinamide in them so if I add them together that will be too much niacinamide.
