Congratulations Marty. You must have a magic touch. A mate and I tried there and other locations with a range of plastics and jig heads a few days ago and couldn’t raise a scale. But we’ll go back and have another go after watching this.

Thanks mate. In that video I was using TT headlocks I’m pretty sure is what they’re called, but would actually recommend the Diawa bait junkie jig heads for that sort of plastic. It’s a lot better at holding the lure in place I find. 👍👌

Hey mate, great video. Is that a 3/8 jig head?

Hey mate, In that video I was using 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4oz depending on the depth and current. 👍

Magnificent fish Marty. You looked very calm bringing it in. Not concerned about line break? Wind obstructed much of what you were saying towards the end so you may have said what line poundage you were using. Mind saying again? Thank you.

Hey mate. I wasn’t concerned about the line. Jew fight very clean and don’t try and reef you usually,so you can afford to take it easy on them and let them tire out. Using light line just takes a bit longer to get them in is all. Using heavier line will help them realise better also because they won’t be as tired by the time they hit the boat. 👍

Hi Marty love your vids. Where do you normally launch from?

Thanks man, I usually launch from Colmslie because the facilities there are really good and it’s quieter than the port ramp. 👍
