We believe we are made of 4 elements of nature in hinduism, i.e air, water, earth (dust) and fire. The cremation process stands as we are born without anything in body, so do we leave likewise. The river water is to purify sins(submission to GOD as we wash our body before entering GOD's house) as in walking inside temple. then we are submitted to fire, the remnants of us as ash then is poured into flowing river through air. The fire inside mouth is to free our soul.

Its five elements brother, donot provide misinformation - PanchaMahaBhoota, according to Hinduism, is the basis of all cosmic creation. These elements are: Prithvi(Solid - Earth), Jal (Liquid - Water), Agni (Energy,Heat - Fire), Vayu (Gas - Air), Aakasha(Void, Container - Space ). I hope you will correct this one in your comment. Sorry @RyleighJayne because your guide could make you understand lot of things; she missed lots of things. The importance of pashupatinath is not limited to what guide described. Hope you will get full information by next time. Hope you will get knowledgeable guide.

@angel.matina. The conch(aka shankha) has to do with energetic vibration ( as any sound is a form of energy itself). I think, you've to understand the rituals with rationalism and science. Just consort of Vishnu or this and that is a very simplistic and superficial explanation. Also, a person who blows the conch and the people who hear are transcended through sound vibration and that is the same effect from different mantras as well. They are causing transcendental effect on the person physically and psychologically as well.

Pashupatinath Temple is a sacred Hindu temple located in Kathmandu, Nepal, along the Bagmati River. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, specifically in his manifestation as Pashupati, the lord of animals. The temple complex is sprawling and includes many smaller temples, ashrams, and monuments. It is considered one of the most important Hindu temples in the world and attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over the globe. The temple is known for its intricate architecture, religious significance, and the ritual cremations that take place along the banks of the Bagmati River.

In the blessing, she first called out for all gods, demigods and planets and asked them to give good results and blessings in life. Then she said, may you be saubhagyasali with sindur, which means may you have a good marital life. Next sloka she added may goddess saraswoti reside in you ( saraswoti is goddess of knowledge) and said in your travel in life, may all demigods protect you. She blessed saying may you get luxury, peace, prosperity and may all your dreams come true. and may you always be healthy. Jay hoss meaning may you be prosperous. While tieing thread in hand, she chanted another mantra which calls for demigods and again asked them for your protection in life. She repeated about jay hoss and kalyan hoss, and ended her words calling gods name. This is how elders bless us. Hope you had a memorable stay in Nepal.

Hi Ryleigh, I'm a big fan of your channel and appreciate the content you create. I watched your recent video and wanted to offer a suggestion. While I understand you aim to capture raw moments, I noticed that the face of the person being cremated wasn't blurred. Considering the sensitivity of the topic and the privacy of the deceased person's family, blurring their face might be a respectful gesture. It's just a thought to consider. Thank you for your work and understanding.

Hi Ryleigh's.. good to watch your video it's a unique. Exploring the country like Nepal which has it's own diverse culture with beautiful historical areas, full of temples, greenery environment, and good hearted people are the most fantastic things. Thank you for exploring the most specific place as Pashupatinath temple which is the main temple of Lord Shiva means new creations or peace. As being a Nepali want to promote tourism industry like you. We all have equally right to explore each other cultures so there is no restrictions to enter the Hindu temples. If you u can put the red spiritual tika on your forehead means you can go inside the temple and worship to god. Worshipping a god is the most powerful spiritual belief (accepting good things in future) for Hindu religions people. How are you enjoying and how do you feel Being in Nepal? Hope you are enjoying the best..

My humble request is to take the local trained guide for the right information, You can find at Pashupatinath "Guide Association of Pashupatinath" I really disagree the information she has provided you. Personally I am working as a local guide since 1992. Any questions you may ask me. Or contact to have again tour at Pashupatinath
