What you're saying is only treating the symptoms, not the causes of one's problems. The problem is one's CIRCUMSTANCES. Negative circumstances generate correspondingly negative thoughts about them. Thus those thoughts are VALID. One becomes stuck when one cannot change negative circumstances. Stilling your mind won't heal the cause.

The problem, as I see it, arises when the psyche is identified with thought. That is, when one’s identity is thought-constructed: the thought-structured ego-self. This is what keeps the thought-vortex spinning. In this situation thought must struggle with itself in order to satisfy the ego-demands of the thought-structured identity. To let the neurotic process come to a natural end, and allow the thought-chain to naturally evaporate, one must be prepared to surrender identity with the thought-structured self - that is, accept ego-death. This situation can result in a type of panic situation, generating high anxiety. And thus to avoid this anxiety the thought-vortex must keep spinning. This was my experience, as I described in the poem I offered in the recent video entitled: “This Simple Shift Stops The Addiction To Thought - Awakening.” Fear of the ego-self death experience is what keeps the psyche trapped in this neurotic response.

Thank you! I use this method or something like it, when I'm driving, especially if I'm getting frustrated by other drivers. It actually makes me a better driver, since I have hyper attention to the driving experience and to nothing else, seeing everything that is happening. If a driver cuts me off it's only something that happened, or is happening and deserves no emotional response. As I do this I feel all my stress melt away as get into a somewhat euphoric blissful flow state. Driving is mostly an automatic thing for most of us, since we don't think about it it we just do and doing this I get to ride the process of driving without thinking, but just doing and observing.

Right, and I find sad or even stupid talking with people's that acts like yes man, or that just are unable to process their emotions and thoughts, they're appear to me like violent Australopitechus.
