The 10k in a wallet comparison is terrible when there's not a name attached to it. There's a severe difference in opportunity from cashing out on a faceless lump of money and cashing out when you know exactly who you can speak to so you can do the right thing. That's part of what makes scams so disgusting to people. Robbery is bad, yes. But you care a hell of a lot more when you think about how the scammer knew what he was doing to PEOPLE. Someone finding random money in their wallet and keeping it in no way implies thievery or any bad intention. And even moreso to add to his point not being right, is that Ice KNOWINGLY did this with malicious intent. It's the same as someone giving you 15K and telling you to invest it for them, if you do anything other than what that person told you to do with it and wouldn't accept(I.E keep it for yourself or blow it on hookers or other shit for yourself) you are STEALING. a few years ago i found some chick's purse at a bus stop, she had forgotten to take it with her when she went on the bus, at least that's what i presume to this day. her phone, her wallet (with money and credit cards in it), her passport, and numerous other personal belongings were still in it. i opened her phone and called her mother, telling her that i found her daughters purse. the mother thanked me and told me she'd get a hold of her daughter and get back to me about retrieving it. the next day the chick calls me, relieved about her stuff being found, thanking me for my honesty, and we set up a meeting later that same day. (here's where the story gets morally interesting); we meet up near where i live. she barely greets me with a "hi" - i kid you not, she didn't even give me a smile! i hand over her purse (with everything including the cash money in it) which she nearly snatches out of my hand in a yoinking motion, as if i had stolen it from her or smth, then says "thanks" and immediately turns around and walks away. at this point i am dumbfounded about the sheer ungratefulness she displayed and i just sort of stand there staring in her general direction as she walks away for about 5-10 seconds. ngl, i expected a bit more gratitude for being a decent human being, but i felt like i got the opposite of that... like i am not saying i deserve a reward, but maybe a proper "thank you" and a minute of smalltalk would have been in order, her attitude IRL and her attitude on the phone was like night and day. i essentially, potentially just saved her from all sorts of trouble... if i had been a savvy criminal i could have committed identity fraud, i could have straight up stolen her identity, i could have taken her money, i could have doxed her online, i could have maxed out her credit cards, i could have sold her phone, i could have harassed her friends and family, i could have sold their phone numbers to telemarketers resulting in years of annoying spam calls, i could have hacked her entire online life using her phone to authenticate i.e online purchases, facebook/email password changes etc. but i didn't.... and this was the thanks i got... unbelievable. needless to say, next time i am doing the opposite of what i did back then, because if people are gonna be so bloody ungrateful about good deeds like this, then they frankly don't deserve to get their stuff back.

It's pretty annoying how every streamer's first response to this is to call people dumb for doing it. Yes, they are incredibly stupid, but people usually don't immediately blame the victims of a (E)celebrity baiting them into a product. I prefer guys like Penguinz01's reaction to this situation, where they just strictly call out Ice directly and don't even waste much time talking about the dumb people who funded him. There will ALWAYS be dumb kids or adult simps for people online. We've known this for years. Ice is still getting away with illegal stuff because a percentage of the blame tends to be drafted towards his victims over him. People forget that although Asmong doesn't necessarily praise Ice, in his video about a week ago, Asmong basically says we can't ignore the amount of work Ice did for the IRL section of Twitch. All Ice did was act like a total douchebag, where 70% of his content was going into public with his posy and harassing people. The dude even brought up Hampton Brandon to his clique, to go around picking fights with people and streaming it. The guy is scum that takes advantage of the young naïve viewers, similar to how douchetubers like the Paul brothers do. Ice can continue getting away with this because he was still respected a week ago as some massive apex of the IRL twitch era, while even now having part of his scam blame pushed off on his victims. No shit he's going to keep getting away with things like this by how people react to him. I mean, Asmong literally spoke highly of his "contribution" to twitch a week ago, which was just him acting like an asshole in public.

Do you think its more valuable to spend time saying what everyone knows about this situation (Ice did a shitty thing and should be punished) or to speak on how you as an individual can be manipulated and go into detail about how this type of manipulation works and prevent yourself from being manipulated by this kinda stuff in the future? Like I've honestly only seen literally one sad soul on twitter defend him. Everybody already knows he's a piece of shit for what he did.

Word got around and 2 days later that same kid had a bashed in face, broken glasses, and a week later moved to a new school. I bet he learned something from that mistake. I miss the old days. Callousness, detachment, and a lack of empathy enable psychopaths to be highly manipulative. Nevertheless, psychopathy is among the most difficult disorders to spot. Psychopaths can appear normal, even charming. Underneath, they lack any semblance of conscience. There's one born every minute, and with today's tech we keep them alive longer than ever before. The Interwebs let us harvest from them repeatedly, as long as we leave them just enough to keep on producing. Farmers call these kinds of crops "cut and come again". The biggest problem is really that most honest (but naive) people don't think like criminals. Experience is a good teacher for most folks. The rest are just "cut and come again" crops for con men and scammers.

I mean yes, very true, people do need to take accountability for their own choices and actions. That doesn’t remove the issue that people do this all the time and a lot of the time these scams specifically, in an unregulated market, are targeted towards taking money from kids. People who are still learning. We can push the info and it’s not up to us if they follow it. But basically saying “suck it up admit your wrong and don’t think about what they did” breeds the idea that nothing anyone else does matters. It does. At the end of the day we are all people. Doesn’t matter if we are horrible to each other we SHOULDNT be. Accountability for legitimate crimes that are robbing people, regardless who they are and again some people are still learning life. We don’t get taught anything growing up and to say figure it out just repeats a horrible cycle. Disagree or not but I hope everyone has a good day and night. Stay safe out there

It is enough to be an accredited investor and get into markets that include private equity companies and access to other resources the average American has no clue about. But the currency in those circles is reputation. Making money for other people, like your fellow investors, and not fucking them out of their money is a huge piece of that reputation. @@marsulgumapu2010 I completely agree in the point that our governments are way too far behind when it comes to regulating everything around Crypto. In my opinion: Crypto has grown too powerful, too quickly for governments to introduce hardcore regulations effectively right now (except totalitarian China, lol). There are too many powerful people, corporations and for sure lots of politicians monetarily invested. In the end it comes down to us, the civilians, to decide wether or not we wager investing into such a volatile, unregulated market where at some point in the future the bubble is going to pop. Could I maybe make lots of money investing into it? Perhaps even by scamming people? The answer is maybe and maybe not. I'd rather focus on making money by doing the job I want to do and educating myself along the way, with my moral compass intact. I may not become a millionaire but that was never my goal.
