The wobble head “biffle bug” technique is Something I need to fish more! Never really gained much confidence in it, and it is something that I need to fish more this summer! I got several sizes and a bunch of baits to fish on it… gonna give it a try next time I head out! Great video as always, congrats on growing the channel, I am confident you will blow up bigtime very soon. OH!!!

Good evening great video. I’ve started watching many of your videos over the last few months I can’t believe how much information I’ve learned. I’ve tried bending the hook out the way you demonstrated but over the last two seasons I’ve started bending the hook right or left instead of straight up. I do the same thing when I Texas rig it to Bait. A lot of times when the fish grabs it when I said the hook with a bent straight up I was losing a lot of fish so I tried bending the hook out to the side and my hook up percentage went through the roof! Keep the great videos coming I will be a regular From now on! Great job

Thank you Ty. I really appreciate your style and approach to the video content. Great clear instruction that is practical and spot on. Keep it going and I know you'll reach the 50K subscribers. The only down side is it becomes less likely for me to be the winner. Congrats to the winners of this giveaway. I was really excited about the Okuma reel and the hats are cool. Totally agree with bending out the EWG for better hooksets too.

I use these alot, banging off rock and bolders in Bull Shoals Lake Arkansas. They work well on rock piles and bluffs. I think your spot on, with 15# line and a medium/medium heavy rod...I like fluoro, it helps keep it down. The smallies love these.

I have been using something similar all Summer with great results. I use the VMC Rugby Jig with a Moon Juice colored Rage Tail Grub. It has been my go to bottom presentation all Summer. Does the VMC Swing Head Rugby Jig make that much difference? I started using the Rugby head because, I needed a weedless presentation. It got tough to throw a TRD with an exposed hook! The EWG hook allows me to Texpose the hook. I also use the Rugby head on my Big TRDs. Both presentations got me through the Summer and so far well into Fall. Moon Juice works at my clear water lake with a sand bottom and, it imitates a bait fish, the main forage there.

Great Video. I recently discovered BassFishingHQ. Like many other viewers, it is quickly becoming on of my favorites due content and transparency. "That being said", also try rigging your menace of rage craw style baits with the paddle tail rigged vertical rather than horizontal. Rigging it the traditional horizontal way causes the bait to both glide and lift. The vertical rigging will allow the bait to sink faster and keep contact with the bottom easier. "Think outside the Box".

I disagree about the reel speeds- use a heavier head man. I get a lot of reaction bites on this technique burning it and then pausing- like the guy on TB always says "Burn, burn, pause..." - it flat works with both deep diving cranks and wobble heads. The fish need to be active and aggressive but when they are I use a 8:1 sometimes- works great. Right now it's too hot though, they're refusing to chase anything- hard to get bit. We get about an hour in the morning and maybe an hour in the evening and that's it- the rest of the day you have to drag something super slow or go find them in the thick cover and drop it right on their head.
@BassFishingHQ
3 жыл бұрын
I see what you mean man, I really just like to use as light of a head as possible (Like the guy on TB says) and having a reel ratio 7.1 and under just helps me keep it on the bottom. You could always use more weight though, I just prefer. To each their own
@stoneysdead689

@@BassFishingHQ This imo is a common misconception in bass fishing- ppl hear guys stress how they should use the lightest weight possible so often that they start being afraid of weight and over applying this rule of thumb. If you need to move something aggressively along bottom, even in 3 feet of water- it takes weight.

You explain how and when to fish it , but you don't show us the most important aspect of it all , and that's how you actually rig the thing up . You guys never show how to actually tie it on and rig it up man . Doesn't do me any good to know how to use it or when to use it if I don't know how to rig it . You just show us what it looks like after it's rigged up , but you NEVER show how to rig it . WHY ????

I absolutely smashed bass this spring and early summer using the wobble head for the first time using a lizzard tried a menace and the baby brush hog both caught fish but the lizard outshined them both put a swimbait on the back of a swing head this last week of October and was very successful get the most bites banging it off of isolated rocks on points or rip rap on dams

A bite with this presentation feels the same as picking up a leaf on the head banging off of rocks then you feel nothing I real slowly until I feel the weight or the line is moving sideways then set the hook

Can fish the swing head on soft bottom or through grass?
@BassFishingHQ
3 жыл бұрын
It is really not the best in those situations. There are some swing heads that will come through grass a little better but for the most part they are best for harder bottom areas
