Looks like it has enough misc. obstacles like rock, roots, misc. broken logs and the occasional puddles to keep the tire wet that it would be a s*it show, lol. Looks like an awesome area. Good job.

It may have kicked your @$$ but you don’t get better by riding the easy stuff! I bet you will go back again and do better the second time. And doing that stuff on a 125 will build skill! I bought a tm 144 enduro to build skill. A year later and Im going places I never thought possible on my 300. Thanks for sharing

I struggle up this one too; haven't been up it lately. I rarely seem to get enough momentum to clear the step-ups and end up pushing the bike over the last little bit of them. Well done! That's a lot of work and effort.

This trail is ride-able but you do need to have a higher skill base to do it. These skills are much easier to learn on a trials bike for sure. The more mistakes you make the more tired you get, the more tired you get the more mistakes you make. This is most definitely not a trail to learn on as it is a relentless beast, there are no are no sections where you can just ride to get your mojo back, no areas to take it easy...just straight up knar all the way up which just gets harder the higher you get. Good on you for trying but I hope for the trails sake you give yourself a chance to get better before tackling it again. Great video, thanks for sharing.

It’s an honour to have you watch and comment on my video , you are a legend on this mountain as far as I’m concerned Yes there are a lot of skills I need to improve on before I tackle this trail again , it’s definitely a trail that requires sustained momentum and obviously that wasn’t happening, unfortunately a trials bike is just not in the cards for me at the moment so I need to make the 125x work ..I’ll just keep pushing myself and learning as I go 🍻🤙

Definitely some gnarly terrain. You definitely need a Rekluse for that type of riding and then also it sounds like that bike “hits” way to fast. I’m a KTM guy so I dont know the adjustability of the power valve but it will make huge traction advantages
@patrickholmes001

absolutely NOT a rekluse for this type of riding; need the fine clutch control. He did fine, could have used a bit more momentum but that comes in time and with experience, I'm sure these hills are gnarlier in person than they look on the screen.

@@SingletrackGoons I think the worn out tire and the higher pressure is affecting your traction. You are definately not scared to get up those tougher trails. Is your rear tire a 19' if so that isnt helping out for the kind of riding you are doing
@SingletrackGoons

@@DeadEnduro oh for sure it’s affecting my traction..I’m going to spin it around and round off the other side of the treads before I go buy a new one.. any much lower tire pressure I run the risk of pinch flats and that is a pain in the ass🫏😂 Yes I run a 18” rim Thanks for you support..it’s much appreciated 🤙

@@SingletrackGoons I'd look at going TuBliss or Mousse. I'm currently running Mousse front and rear, but was running TuBliss before - I'd run 3.5-4psi in the rear with the TuBliss, for substantially better traction. The YZ is definitely harder to ride on these trails, as it doesn't like to 'lug' like enduro bikes do, which makes it harder to maintain traction. You'll find a better tire and lower pressure (either through TuBliss or a 'plushie' mousse) will give better traction, make it easier to get up and over obstacles and do less damage to the trail.

Try riding a bike that is built for the task and bike to rider set up tire choice, gearing etc that is not an overly hard track but it's not getting f all traction and rebound circuit is extremely important on stuff like this
