Not always to the right address though. My girlfriend ordered over £800 worth of stuff and a UPS delivery driver delivered it to an Amazon warehouse 8 miles away. I contacted them and they said whoever signed for it signed for a pallet load. I left them my phone number, but they never got back to me. I had to do a chargeback, as the original company messed me about for ages. Having said that, one UPS driver delivered a package on his day off, because he recognised my name, so kudos to him.

It's not always easy, and sometimes things just don't work out the way the customer wanted, but if you're a good enough CSR, the next time you talk to them they'll usually acknowledge their ass-hattery behavior and apologize (this exact scenario just happened at work a couple days ago lol) Either that, or my coworkers and I have just been extraordinarily lucky in managing to work with customers who have the ability to self-reflect and show respect to employees & apologize for being an asshole to us previously.

I was a driver for 3 years and an on road supervisor for another 3 years. These guys are given a new pair of ice cleats every winter... with that said, I'm glad he was able to make the delivery without getting hurt.

Common sense smart, caring, and resourceful. He is the “MacGyver” in the delivery industry! He gets the job done using common sense and ingenuity. He cares about doing the right thing for the right reason. He knows, understands, and uses good customer service techniques. He may NOT want a desk job, but his intelligence has earned him a chair at that table. Good luck to you, sir!,

Common Sense dictates walking on the snow of the lawn, as it will have traction! Smh Award this choice of attempting to walk on ice??? Fools choice smh

@@lesliejackson149we don't know how heavy the package was. I would of chosen his method for a heavy package. His method is much more fun all round! Good to mix up the day with some play. He would of been stuck with wet trousers with the snow method.

While this was pretty ingenious, if he's such a smart delivery guy, why didn't he use these spikes you can wear over your shoes on day like that? There are versions that don't impede driving.

@@carolineramage7480 I promise you that the snow wouldn't be all that bad at all. The snow is clearly the most efficient way to get up the driveway.

There’s a way! I had a Mr. Ed book as a kid that ended with the horse saying that lol. Of course, I think it was where there’s a Wilbur, there’s a way now that I think about it. Good grief, that had to be about 1961 or 62 cause I was only 5 or 6. Thanks for the memory Kathy. Have a lovely day!

As a retired UPS employee of 28 years, I will tell you the only thing this guy got from UPS was a disciplinary warning letter in his file for not wearing his little rubber Ice cleats on his shoes! On icy days, we were not even allowed to walk around the UPS yard without them! If he got injured, he would have been written up again!

Now that's more dedication than the United States Postal Service, and it is very hard to top them! Rain sleet, snow or hail, they are going to deliver that mail😁😁😁

The drivers a champion but the award of shame goes to the homeowner for not taking the minimal effort of putting down a little sand or salt.

Unless they have a disability or infirmity that prevents them salting.
