The clothes the guy dancing is called regalia, he's a men's Northern Fancy dancer. I'm Native American and Scottish, I'm also a woman's southern cloth dancer. If I remember right not only, are they Native American but their also Mexican.

I believe the name Redbone is referencing to they’re mixed heritage which also includes Mexican

Redbone is Native American/Mexican. When the guy came in dancing, the dance was a men's fancy dance. I'm Native American, I'm from a tribe in the San Diego, California area.

I was about 17 or 18 in the early seventies heard the song on am radio. Went out and brought the whole album. Great album cover. lost that vinyl with lots of others. 😩
