I got folks who live out on one of the lakes in north cal. Their stuck with DSL and it’s dog slow. Any time I visit them I use my lte service and even turn my phone into a hot stop in case I need to use my laptop at their residence. Can’t wait to see what 5 G does in a few years.

Some time ago I worked for a managed-service company and we had those for remote troubleshooting. Turns out we ended always using our company or personal phones because that wifi-modem never worked inside buildings, or remote areas. I really hope it works for you.

I work from home and my computer must be connected from a WiFi router to my computer with an Ethernet port. Does this have an Ethernet port and would it work for this?

May I ask what is the exact name of your AT&T Business plan? I didn’t know any of them had unlimited hotspot data.

I use the unlimited starter plan but I have a ton of lines so I think it has to do with that also I have 3 of these under my plan and don’t have complaints from the users they live in remote areas where no wifi providers can get to do this is the best solution and for $30 a month no extra fees all unlimited data what more could you ask for

Are these 4G modems new in the US ? These things have been around here for a long time. But very expensive at 100USD / month. How much does an actual wired internet subscription with decent speeds + technician to install it cost in the US ? Is that not available in NC ?

Unlimited bandwidth is new… before they would generally cap at 100GB per month

Living in rural communities is still a Pipe dream for anyone other then people retired or looking to retire soon. You can't make nearly as much money in rural communities as you can in population centers. You end up getting locked into impoverished rural communities that way. If your in a town with low cost of living where you only make 35k a year good luck with taking vacations anywhere other then other middle of no where areas. Your damn sure not gonna be able to afford a nice hotel or to go eat at nice restaurants or take in a bunch of tourist experiences anywhere near any population centers if your only making 35k a year. Rural communities are still a trap until we get to a point where jobs pay the same no matter where your at there are good and legitimate reasons so many small towns are "dying".

I moved to cancun last year; and let me tell you... you could live out here on $800-1000 a month comfortably... so you could definitely vacation on 35k a year. Depending on costs in your home area

Left Washington for the sprawling metropolis of Palmyra Missouri in 2013. The pay is lower, but so is the cost of living, Everybody back home used the same phrase you did "impoverished" to describe people who had a rather higher standard of living than my friends back in Washington. The idea that anything is better in a major metropolitan area with the possible exception of theater is simply incorrect. Get out now.
