What do you think about playing under an alternate name? I ask because I have a feeling that some people play differently when they know who you are and feel the pressure of playing against you. I understand that it might be counterproductive due to marketing (you get new fans by playing under chessnetwork which translate to more click which translates to more cash money)
@1998marijn1998
8 жыл бұрын
People play different mostly because of his relatively high rating, another account won't fix that and I don't think a lot of people actually studied chessnetwork style of play and play different because of his name.

This is fascinating to watch - where can I read about the tournament points scheme (2 vs 4 vs 5 earned) and about going berserk?
@SunD45h
7 жыл бұрын
As far as I can tell, if you win not on a streak, you get 2 points, and if you win on a streak, you get 4. You can get 3 points if you berserk, meaning you half your time at the start of a match, and win without a streak, and getting 5 is winning on a streak while berserk is active. Again, berserk just means you half your time from 1 minute to 30 seconds in this case.

In this variant of chess, it's 3 checks and you win. You can also win by checkmate, but just in this case, he won with 3 checks. If you saw, the bishop checked the king 3 times, therefore meeting the requirement of winning.

One nagging criticism: a "think tank" is a group of people, lol. You always say they're going into the think. Ugh. Sorry. I should have that shirt that says, "I'm silently correcting grammar." I know it's just a Jerryism, but I'd say your opponents are "putting on their thinking-cap."
