I’m in varsity my first game I played so good made two goals after that everything just went downhill for me I’m not playing well as a striker I just feel like my touches are bad because the confidence is not there I get nervous lately this week I’ve noticed I haven’t been playing well so I play by myself after varsity practice I work so hard I play so good my shots are good then the game comes I shut down why am I like this. What am I doing wrong
@jasperbennett9175
6 жыл бұрын
Sometimes the role of the striker is just to hold the ball and lay it off to your teammates. That being said, you should make sure you recognize your strengths and your opponents weaknesses in order to figure out if you should make through runs, dribble the defenders, etc. Make sure you are shooting in game-like situations as well in order to get used to the speed of varsity games

If I have the ball with lots of space, should I take the space, or shoot. I'm capable of both
@jonstowell9540
3 жыл бұрын
well if you have the space you should take the space. a closer shot has a higher chance of going in. but if the defense will be able to pressure you if you take space, then the take the shot. otherwise you have to deal with the defender or the goalie charge. which as long as its a one on one yu still have a chance if you can juke the defender
