This is SO excellent. I’ve been a huge Gentle Giant fan since the 70s and this is like a clean mix of that music.

Almost too much to handle... Beyond prog, the seventies, there was Gentle Giant. And still is.

No, it is not a cover band. It's Gary Green's band playing Gentle Giant - the music he helped create.

I dearly hope that they will release an audio CD of their live performances. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

GG's virtuosic playing and idiosyncratic compositions made them unique and without peer. It is indeed gratifying that Gary and Malcolm have chosen to bring the music to a new generation.

Can it really be considered a 'cover' when there are two former members of the band in the band?

If Derek would have sung in a lower key and sounded smoother, like this guy, G.G. would have been far more well-known.
@DavidJones-sy4mn

Phil was their singer who could hit those lower keys which would have made it possible for them to be successful with more commercial music. your observation is correct K.C. One thing about most pop performers is that they can really sing, perform great and imaginative music, well no, sing well with great range, yes! Though Gentle Giant Produced four more great albums, they were never the same without Phil.

There no word like LATE. I only became to apprciate this incridible band when I was older than 35 surely and after my music taste drifted between styles. That's evolution. When you are ready it comes naturally to you.
