Regarding the best time to do grafting, in Brazil, thanks to our blessed climate, grafting can be done practically all year round; However, periods of extreme temperatures, i.e. very hot or very cold, must be avoided, which can significantly compromise the setting rates. It is important to remember that for tropical fruits such as avocado, mango and lemon, for example, the best results are obtained in autumn, spring and early summer, when temperatures and the availability of sunlight are more favorable, as well as as there is better circulation of sap due to the greater volume of rain, fundamental factors for improving the setting and success of grafts.

Although there are many others, such as complicated English, simple English, bubbling and W grafting, among others, which can have excellent adherence rates if done well; none of them, however, are as simple in execution as the top fork.
