9:40 , zoned back in. I was in a head on collision, car totaled, rushed to the hospital in ems unconscious. I asked my nurse to text my boss saying I couldn’t come in 2 days from then. Which I wasn’t released until then. I had extra sick day time off, I requested time off while in critical condition…. And was denied because it was following spring break…. I was incapacitated, and gave them 30 hours notice. I was told to return to campus and to stay up until til my job was caught up at 2 am the following day; with a concussion. I did my job but ended up suffering severe consequences following injuries following the accident triggered by my job. I had a note from ems for 3 weeks off and light duty. I returned day 2…. Then had internal bleeding while on campus. Today 4/1/24 accident 3/12/24

"Hope they find another job. ha ha ha!!!" That tells why there are so many won lawsuits. Sad that these kind of people are in control of good people having health issues in the work place.

Un-qualifiable? OK, let’s play devils advocate. How about for entry level positions? I see this everywhere all the time where the description of the job or the employers ad specifically states that it is an “entry level” position. Which means (no skills are needed and/or no previous work history required). How can you fire an employee for not meeting expectations when there are none to begin with because it is in fact an entry-level position?

I’m an employee with fmla and Ada my HR and mangers aren’t familiar with it at all and after watching your video I know for sure they are clueless 😢and maybe penalized me illegally 😮

That’s def illegal if you were penalized at all and you followed the policy. I suggest speaking with an attorney and getting advice. Also check into filing an EEOC claim bc we’re protected by law during FMLA leave. ❤

@@ChelleInTheCityabsolutely misleading to say that you're protected by the law. I was in a mental health and the superintendent/alter ego of the did not put me on FMLA and HR and my supervisor refused to put me on FMLA even when I asked. I was put under investigation and demoted. I went to the EEOC twice and they said nothing was done improperly and gave me a ride to see you later. You are only protected by FMLA if you have the money to hire a lawyer and fight for you. I was working in the state of Washington for two State agencies and this happened at both of them

Employer took away sick pay , switched insurance where we pay more for less coverage with higher Deductibles and out of pocket total . But employees start playing hard ball right back they cry foul

All good info. Texas here. How do you stop the employee who has intermittent FMLA that is just taking off whenever they want? We have an employee with trend that they use fmla mainly on Fridays, Mondays, or knock off at lunch.

Why you worried about other people's problems they have health issues or mental problems

Maybe the work environment is so stressful or toxic that it triggers them to utilize their FMLA

Have a question regarding commdations my doctor recommended that I can't return to work under my current supervisor she is the reason for my stress and anxiety they told me per Ada they don't have to change my supervisor is that true I am not requesting the transfer

My doctor filled out FMLA paperwork, and three days later they set up a fit for duty. It’s the federal government that is my employer. It is retaliation from the HR manager because of a personal issue.
