Yes but he got one thing wrong, partly. You show your daughters you love them because if you just say it then when someone else says it they will believe it, too. If you SHOW them and say it then when the person only says it and doesn't show it, they will discern the truth and not waste their time on lip service. Too many parents get this wrong and then wonder why their kids end up with classical and covert narcissists and other BS, user types. The answer is they fell for it because it was familiar, their childhood idea of love that their parent.or parents portrayed.. Prioritize your kids and they will not waste time on people who cannot and will not reciprocate! Don't spoil them with praise once in a while and ignore them the majority or they will seek that in a spouse without even knowing and those types will find them so quick and get their hooks in easy. Also, It is CRUCIAL to Treat your spouse the way you want your Kid's spouses to treat them! Role model it with actions and not just words or if you can't then get out of the way for someone who can if you want your kids to have their best chance in life.

At the time I kind of took it for granted but now I know. Now I regret. For anyone reading this, if you're a father make sure your children know you love them and if you're a child make sure your father knows you love him. Before it's too late. Please. So you don't regret it. This video meant a lot to me and it means the world for a father to show his love and a child to reciprocate that. Please don't take your father for granted. Exactly. I had a father who hated me all my life, he treated horribly, and I’d never heard him say he loved me once. My parents divorced at the start of my adulthood, and when my mom remarried, that man has loved me and made sure I knew it every day. He will send me random texts just to remind me that he loves me, and will drop anything and everything for me at the drop of a hat. He didn’t raise me, but he’s my dad and I wouldn’t trade him for anything. I spent so many years in relationships with people who were like my father, but once I learned love from my dad, I met and married someone just like him. We accept the love we’re taught to deserve.

If modern society only had 1/10th consideration for boys and men. So many end up on drugs, suicide or no direction in life, and the worms around could care less. With no fault divorce, many men end up losing everything including the biggest which is their children. Men are sent to war to die, to build up society, protect women and children and for all that the media, big business and government demonizes and mock them and call them toxic. We live in such sick times that many times mothers/sisters will fight against this war on men while other treacherous men will pull down their fellow brother down.

Thank you for this. I have a 3 year old daughter and no idea if I’m even fit to raise her. I always question whether I’m raising her right, being too strict, teaching her the right things, praying over her and with her. … when she lays her head on me and wraps her arms around me and says “You’re the best Daddy in the world” it absolutely melts my heart and makes me tear up because I feel like she while she may not see me struggle, she knows Daddy will always love her forever. Thank you for this video💯

@Larry schell @Larry schell If we are going by your logic, you and I are both as clueless as one another as to this man's situation. I only brought up God because this gentleman said he was praying over his daughter, and I am a Christian. I may be missing the mark, but my words are of comfort- My dad was in this situation when I was growing up, and he personally told me that when he reached out to be near God, marvelous things happened... He went from working hundreds of kilometres away, not home for weeks on end, (or miles for my American brothers and sisters 😁), to be working together as a family. I do have an idea as to what I am speaking about and it was quite heartfelt when I heard this man's story. I am no fool for acknowledging the almighty, nor is @Dr0_305 for praying over his precious daughter. I know he will do fine as a father, for reason relating to this man and reasons beyond our control. My prayers are with you Larry and Dr0, please take care.

My Dad died when I was 13 so obviously he couldn’t tell me he loved me as much as I needed it during those impressionable years growing up. It definitely has an effect on you in your young age and when you become a woman. But I was blessed with wonderful parents who loved me. My Mom took the reins after my Dad died and did a great job being both Mom and Dad. I wish I would have told her more that I loved her. I did tell her every time I saw her or talked to her on the phone, but after they’re gone you always wish you had done more. She knew I loved her!!

I grew up terrified of my dad. I still am. He wasn't abusive, but after 20 years of trying to figure it out, I figured it was because we had ABSOLUTELY NO relationship at all. He didn't take me to the park when I was growing up, didn't play with me, didn't color with me, didn't encourage me growing up. He was merely a caretaker.....not a father. When my dad would yell at me when I was young, I would pee myself......that's a girl terrified of her dad. And now even as an adult, I am terrified of him. I try to have a relationship, but he's not interested because he doesn't try back. And I think he KNOWS I am terrified of him and uses it to his advantage.

I am happy that now that she is 19, I have a balanced and smart daughter who has selected a good boyfriend in her life, and can tell me anything that is on her mind (even very personal things because she knows that I never judge and I always support her decisions and tell her directly if she is doing something wrong), and always knows that I am there for her in any obstacles in life as long as I live. My dad set the bar so high of what I expect and know as the norm could and would NEVER be able to be matched or likely duplicated with men of my Millennial era. My dad is ny hero and best friend. Honestly, my mom lucked out and hit the jackpot. Yes, to her more middle to upper middle class vs. his more blue collar, he had some rough edges and vice-versa, to him, she was book smart but lacked street smarts. My dad grinded, going to college every other year because he had to work to pay for it. He worked his way up to be a respected VP at some of the world's biggest banks like Deutsche and Citi, eventually bringing home a nice 6-figure salary which allowed my mom to stay at home to raise me, and she only had to go to work in her mid 40s when he retired in his early to mid 50s (as he's 9 years older than her), where then he spent his retirement taking care of me when I got life-alteringly sick at age 15...still sick 18 years in and he's been there...as well as being the stay-at-home dad for my little sister who was a surprise my mom had when she was 43 and had struggled with major infertility issues for almost 20 years. And even when my dad was working full-time as a VP in which he traveled 2-4 days every 2-3 weeks each month for over a decade, he still would cook delicious, varied compete meals from quality produce and the best, most expensive cuts of proteins which he would also shop and go to 1-2 grocery stores on Saturday, which was part of our extra father-daughter time (where we had a routine tradition of getting and sharing a Cherry Coke and a Slim Jim beef jerkey stick which we munched on while shopping for the items on his handwritten list which was comprised of items that he'd need as he had cookbooks he scoured and made spreadsheets of top, favorite and new meals). Hell, my mom hasn't cooked or set foot in a grocery store in 30 years. And he'd do all the yard work like mowing 1-2x a week, aerating, edging, ordering and spreading his particular shade and consistency of mulch down in the front and back gardens and trees that he dug, pulling weeds, watering (by hand as well as setting up and moving the sprinklers he lawn as well as the huge backyard flower garden, the front flowerbeds, the trees, etc. Yes, the man was obsessed with having a perfect lawn and garden and did all this until his 70s until he finally hired people when he turned 75, partly to save money and also because no one could meet his standards of how he did and wanted things. My mom would also weed (and helped to water) her huge annual/perennial flower, shrub garden that ran the width of part of our backyard as well as all the front flowerbeds and flowerboxes with more various planters of annual flowers all over. He'd trim and shape the shrubbery and tree branches. Religiously rake and bag all the leaves, especially before the first snowfall. In spring, when there was no more snow for certain, he'd thatch the entire grass yard...extremely taxing work...which thankfully he stopped doing a decade agp. He snowblows and shovels the driveway and sidewalk and, most of the time, does some for the neighbors...born and raised Wisconsinites. He built our wooden deck himself, minus the fanned railings. He'd power wash the deck and my mom would help him put fresh stain (like the mulch, he again always had to have his one specific, particular shade) every year until he relaxed it to every other or two years until they bit the bullet and had a new composite deck 7 years ago. He and my grandpa laid out our brick patio that abutted our deck. Every spring, he'd climb on the roof or ladder and wash the outside and inside of every window and wash every windscreen until new windows were put in again some 7+ years, so no more roof climbing but still cleans the windows and screens...he just did that a couple weekends ago. My mom and dad would always wash the cars themselves when the weather was good, again to save money. He'd repave the driveway every year until cement was put in, again, maybe a decade ago. (Bought the house when it was being made in a brand new subdivision 35 years ago and paid cash outright...no mortgages or leases of anything was drilled into my head at a young age; if you couldn't afford to outright buy in cash a home, cars, any big item purchase, then you can't afford it and shouldn't be "buying" it...and did all of the extra additions as well as the upkeep himself/themselves.) When I got life-alteringly sick, he kicked off his retirement with tirelessly researching my now approximately 15 rare, complex incurable and intractable chronic pain disorders and health problems that span over a dozen different fields and subspecialty fields of medicine and taking me to innumerable appointments of 600+ doctors and specialists, ER trips, hospitalizations, traveling literally not only all around Wisconsin and northern Illinois/Chicago but all around the entire country, NxSxExW, to all different states going to the best, top ranked hospitals, some 2-3x like Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. He'd go with me to the overwhelming majority of my riding lessons. Always supported me and has been my rock mentally, emotionally and psychologically when, after 10 years of fighting my never-ending illnesses and pain, which robbed me of my future and my life, I finally broke at 25/26. Where would I find a man to spend the rest of my life with who has the values and morals (that both my paremts instilled in me), strength (mental and emotional), loyalty and faithfulness to my mom, who does all the aforementioned things that might seem insignificant but aren't like my dad has been and done for me and his family?

The fact that she feels confident enough in herself and the father/daughter love you both share is heartwarming. The fact that you shared that with total strangers also shows the ❤ you share. Do me a favour. When you read this, tell her you love her. Thank you from someone who had a firm but loving father, but didn’t hear those words from him until her 30’s.

As I understand perfectly I can only say to you that from pain you can understand what you want and what not. My father is no more a father for a long time now, I've translate the pain and the need of a good father to a lesson: BETTER ALONE THAN BE WITH A MAGGOT THAT WILL END UP DESTROYING YOUR SOUL. Walk the road without him and be proud, he doesn't deserve you and all the fault is his. Remember, you did nothing wrong. Let your soul shine. ✨❤✨

My Dad passed in 2006…He wasnt really around when i was little and died shortly after i finished boarding school. Never told me he loved me, can count how many times i felt loved by him. Mum always busy and i was practically raised by Aunts who were said degrading words to me and sometimes beat me. i grew up being scared and as soon as any man takes interest i found myself being all needy calling and when they wanted to leave i begged them to stay-I lost my sense of self .Right now im a single mother to a man who never wanted me. About a year ago my life changed when i took full responsibility for my life, all that happened to me and most importantly forgave everyone and myself. My mum told me she loved me when i was the good daughter sending her money, but it all ended when i got pregnant and refused to abort the child when she told me to. sigh I am aware now, im grateful for people like Louis Hay, Joe dispenza, Wayne dyer, Abraham hicks ..Thier teachings shaped my life and made me who i am today.

Bravo 👏 I wished I'd had a Father like you, one who wasn't horribly broken and could've loved me/ protected me. Instead, I needed someone to protect me from him... This world desperately needs good Father's for both boys and girls so children don't go out into an unloving world seeking what they should've got at home. Bless you, Sir!

A lot of fathers these days aren't *allowed* to love their children as much as they would like, because a heartless, vengeful woman took their kids away with the help of a biased legal system

I learned that my dad wouldn’t do ish for me so I didn’t expect any boy around me to do ish for me. My poor husband had to ask me to marry him 5 times before I believed him. He’s an amazing husband and always there when his son needs him even our dogs are obsessed with him. That’s how I knew. 🥰 I love a good dad!🎉

Five times? Any man who has to *beg* for love so much definitely needs more confidence, and a woman who doesn't need five opportunities to make a decision
