Video starts with bird traffic, a majestic buffalo stroll and then Matt goes on to start his routine maintenance.

Love it, we did exactly the same route past May. Ihaha to Savuti to Kwhai. Savuti Marabou pan was a real treat for us with lions, elephants and buffalo at the waterhole. Ihaha hige buffalo herd crossing the Chobe and lions. Kwhai we had the daily elephants visit our camping spot to feed and scratch on the big acacia trees. The best was a leopard thru our camping spot while we had a braai. Next trip we gona do Zimbabwe

We enjoyed that route from Thobolo couple of weeks ago! Lots of fun driving the sand routes too! Did the same trip, even the lunch break under the same baobab😊 We also found game to be sparse in those parts in July...Rather unusual.

I keep an Impact wrench in my car for quick tyre changes, I also made an adapter to use the impact wrench on my jack. nothing sucks more than a flat tyre in the middle of nowhere or in a dangerous area

Again, a great video, but I am a definite ground tent person. Takes my wife and I very little time to pack. I have never felt threatened even traveling by bicycle in Bots and the Nam back in 1993. I prefer to have little weight on the roof. I do carry two spares, so prefer to keep my 18 inch rims, just increase the tyre to 65 V 60 profile.

Beautiful. What an experience to be that close to “wild and dangerous” game as they were like North American raccoons and deer. I really enjoy your camping prowess that makes the experience that much better. Great Travels, looking forward to the next episode of your adventures.

Thanks, once again great. Yes, from what I have seen, places like Khwai are very rough and the game comes right into the camp. Monkeys can (anywhere) be a pest. I keep rubber snakes to try keep them away in South Africa.

Awesome episode. A tyre pressure monitoring system is a must have if you're doing overlanding. It will alert you to a tyre losing pressure or overheating. Vital piece of kit. Should be standard in vehicles I think. Greetings from Brisbane, Australia!

The wildlife is really awesome to get to see show up. Too bad about your tire though, and that the other vehicle smacked your truck, even if it was only the heavy duty bumper. I look forwards to each new episode.👍 Maybe look into a product like Tire-Ject for future excursions. It seals some fairly large holes, is non damaging to the rim and easily cleans off with water. I have no affiliation with them, but have seen what it can do.

Good question I would also question how many ply the sidewalls are. Then recommend four or six depending on weight not 10ply

I think my pressure was too low. Had them at 1.8 bar which is normally fine but the walls of the ruts were so hard I think I had my sidewalls rubbed to pieces on the side of the ruts.

There was a large tear on the inner sidewall, so I don’t think a monitor system would have helped much. I’m quite sure it happened within a few seconds of me finding out.

@@mattdubber fair enough. I'm just saying from having experience as a farmer who need to drive on rocky roads to get to town, the tyre pressure system has saved me multiple times from destroying the wheel rim on my vehicle. Love your videos, keep it up!
