Honestly this is easily by far the best forehand tutorial I have ever watched...I forgot that its a sport apparently and got caught on my heels sigh* Cant do anything athletic on your heels! I always used to say that too! Also I was to focused on starting out sideways also and ditching those two loser techniques made immediate improvements in technique and distance and control and confidence...I am starting to go back to watch why other videos didnt do it for me.. I just went and watched some of the foundation fh how to and trevor flat footed whole time lol... I feel like you just simplified it beautifully too into a concise gem in a sea of dg content! I always could tell n knew that I was missing something[s] from my flick in a major way and you just opened my eyes! Thank you! 🤝

Thanks. This is helpful and helping understand why I don't have a lot of speed and why sometimes I'll get tennis elbow or a sore tricep from a round.

Very helpful video! I needed this like 6 months ago. I have slowly been figuring out what you were saying on my own but the way you articulated everything was very helpful and reassuring. Thank you for creating a resource that I'm sure will help myself and others not as far along in their sidearm journey

Thanks mate. I can't do alot of forehands so I have to slowly get better with them. Which is a pain because I picked up the backhand the first time because I saw it so often from my folks as a kid. I'm not talking about throwing backhanded discs either..

Nice vid man and thanks! So on more full power throws do you still snap the wrist forward or is it passive?
@banditdiscgolf898
2 ай бұрын
@@kleberdigby5298 It'll still need to be done or applied. Just timing it right is going to be the struggle at first till it becomes natural. You can also over think and apply the wrist too much as well. It'll be like a shorter shot but more reachback and hip lead and more explosiveness on the bracing part of the throw.

I found that when I’m back on my heels, I’m going to be leading with the disc and not the elbow to get snap and consistent angle. Also, sometimes happens with the elbow lock issue. They lead with disc instead of elbow

I face forward on my drives but I absolutely stand sideways for upshots.
