I don't personally have a problem with the noise from the G920/G29. Lots of people don't like it, but i like it. From what i tried at my friend's place (G920), the wheel feels super sturdy and the pedals are really solid. I don't care much for a totally accurate wheel that's perfectly quiet and perfectly realistic, i like how the wheel feels and looks solid, how it whirrs when it's turning and the way it has that rough Force Feedback you get with the gears. I just want to have a reliable wheel with a solid build quality and feel and when it comes to peripherals, Logitech have the best feeling materials and build quality. Plus, i haven't seen a video of a G920/G29 break and start smoking from a simple cruise in Forza Horizon 4. Can't say the same about the T150, though.

Don't wanna be a douche or anything, but you should really look into the T300RS *GT EDITION* Instead of the original T300 crappy 2 pedal set, you get T3PA pedals (not T3PA pro) which are on the same level, if not even better than the Logitech pedals. The FFB is a lot better on the Thurstmaster, in my opinion, everything feels a lot smoother and you can always upgrade if you want, which you can't really do with Logitech. For example, if you race Formula 1 or GT3 cars, you can get a F1 add on wheel and you just have to unplug and plug the wheel. Again, I'm not trying to be a douche or tell you to buy a Thrustmaster, just giving my own personal feedback as someone who's had both. Either way if you're coming from a controller I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with a wheel, regardless of which one you pick! :)

Report after one year with T150 PRO: Peddals are great, wheel is not so well made so it makes wierd noises from time to time (at Dirt Rally mostly, nothing serious), FFB is not fading or making funny noises and if you turn your steering degree to 720°, it can be quite strong and take that beating for whole day at Dirt Rally without problem. Would i recomend it? No. Because i regret that simple fact, i have spended money on T150 to realize why there are these fancy wheels. Just get T300 or something better. If you dont have money, T150 is OK and you wont regret it, but you will find out same thing after while. p.s.: DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING CHEAP PLASTIC SHITTY PEDALS VERSION! I'm not a huge racing sim nut. but i do run a weekly vr club, and we do love dirt rally 2 and asseta corsa, and have struggled through only using game pads, so I firmly balive the t150 will be a big step up. and given how often we play racing sims, $300 for wheel, peddle,and frame was about what I could afford. I do like that I can up grade peddles, shifters, rumble matts, fans ect if we want.

That's a tough one to answer, as I myself haven't run into any issues with the T300 - however I know of at least one of my friends who had a G29 stop working (not a gear issue, but power) so I guess spending money on this kind of tech with all the moving parts is always a little bit of a gamble. To tell you the truth, because I run it in my basement, I've never even had the fan kick in (although some people recommend turning it to always on if you're afraid of there being issues at any point). IF I do ever have any issues, I will absolutely post here to let everyone know however! Be careful of anything that has a belt or belts. Belts have a tendency to stretch and therefore will eventually start slipping. Also, depending on how long you plan on owning it, belts also degrade over time. Whereas metal does none of the above. I have had My Logitech G27 ever since it came out. I have not even wanted anything else. Yes, it is a bit noisy. But, all in all, this wheel and pedals is awesome! I watched this video and the noise level that I heard wasn't really that much better. Besides, the G27 has a very good vibration and resistance level. In fact, sometimes the resistance is so good that it actually rips my hand from the wheel! I normally have to turn it down a little. As far as sliding goes. I believe it also is exemplary. OK, sorry for getting off subject. I know that the G27 is rare and quite expensive if you can find one. I saw one on Amazon that a guy was selling USED for $839.95! Holly shit! Used? I agree that this is a very good wheel and all. But that is just ludicrous at best.

I myself wouldn't pay extra for the G29 vs the T150 w/pro pedals. The G29 IS absolutely a fantastic wheel, but right now (as of this writing) the prices are all over the place, and the T150 (w/pro pedals) is a solid piece of equipment (just not a big fan of the plastic pedals with the 150 non pro)

I honestly haven't tried the g923 yet...I've heard mixed results from viewers, some saying they love the vibration in the wheel and others saying it makes their hands numb, when I get a bit more time and caught up on my backlog I may have to do a review on it to answer those questions the best I can myself. Sorry I can't be of more help at the moment on that though Ma liberté financière

You missed the H-Shifters. I know they come separately, but across Europe it's a must. Until a little while ago most cars were manual around here and that adds to the realism. Also, I think you can pick up a TMX Pro for a little extra and you get the T3PA pedals in the box. LE: I know that 'cause I'm currently researching them. That's how I ended up here. 😁

The one thing is though you can buy the g920 and g29 with a h pattern shifter as a kit but the thustmaster th8a was always a sold separate but that being said the th8a is a lot better in my opinion the logitec felt kinda cheap and I felt like if I bet a gear to hard its gonna snap but the thrust master thats completely diffrent and there's a lot of customizable option on the thrustmaster not from them but third-party has short shifter add-ons better sequential add ons and just changing the shift nob is a ton easier as the market is right now there's a bit of a diffrence in price. I've seen the complete logitec kit going for 129.99 in the states plus tax. I've just got another tmx pro kit cheapest pedal wheel combo was 351.99 after shipping and tax came to 399 and the shifter I got off Walmart with a friends 10% discount came to 165 thats the cheapest I could find anywhere its usually 169.99 + all the crap or it can go up to 200 bucks but I still feel the extra bit of money is way more worth it for the quality

Due to current pricing the T300 is out, and the remaining two are similarly priced at about half of the T300.So if price point had you limited to the T150 Pro or the G29. Which way would you go?
@barefootgaming6265

Ack! Y'know...it's pretty tough to answer these as MY preferences may be different than yours...but at the same price it would be REALLY tough. I prefer the feel of the 150 as far as action goes, but the G29 physically feels better (the leather wrap)... ...in the end you can't go wrong with either...but I might go 150 pro as I've been bit from the G27 getting louder and louder over time and that would probably be the tie breaker? lol - hope that helps TheMatchbox86 (...but seriously, both are solid setups)

My only beef with Logitech's G29 isn't physical, it's the G Hub and Gaming software you download to set up the wheel for PC. The wheel started out great no issues. 2 days into it the force feedback stopped working. This is a common issue apparently and to fix it you have to uninstall all the software, unplug the wheel, go into your PC's registry delete all of Logitech's folders to get rid of the issue. There's even a tutorial on you tube showing the steps to fix it thank god or mine would be going back to amazon. Once you get past that issue if it comes up the wheel is great. That's my rant and my 2 cents.

You forgot to mention that T300RS GT package comes with t3pa that comes with adjustable brake mod. Also it is way easier to install loadcell on t3pa. These t3pa should be there for comparison not ones that come with just wheel or t3pa-pro. T300RS GT is best value pound for pound and I find it hard to recommend g29 since price difference is not that much while t300 is just class above. But that is just my opinion.

Excellent video, showing which is the best and emphasizing that all 3 or 4 options are good starter wheels with different pros and cons against each other. Some prefer T300, & some G123. Some prefer the T150, & some G29/120 depending on overall needs. They are all good as long they don't break within 3 to 5 years. Reliability may put T150 closer to the bottom, but longevity depends on how many times the T150 is played and driving habits and FFB settings. (I ended up with T150 due to super low $100 price, otherwise I'd have no steering wheel at all). T300 seems to be the best choice (if money is no object) but I've heard of those breaking down as well. Logitech G123/29 is built differently with Motor driven FFB, so that may be why those have longer longevity. But everyone's mileage may vary.

Is that so, and in that case, is the G920 still a better, more realistic controls than the TMX Pro spite the better pedals now with the TMX pro, and is the steering wheel the same as old T150 or a newer improved one whem comes to ff and such ?
@barefootgaming6265

You're very welcome Magnus - and you are correct about the T150 and TMX Pro being identical hardware (aside from the compatibility to consoles - as the TMX is PC/Xbox only). All I can say when deciding between the two is what matters more to you...and I try and cover those points in the video...I don't think there is a "this is the better wheel" in the end so much as "this is the better wheel for you". I apologize if that's not the answer you were looking for, and I promise I'm not trying to be vague...but the TMX Pro physically feels different, and depending if you're more into the loose style of the G920, or want a tighter (but physically not as nice feeling because of the lack of leather) wheel...it's not an easy choice :) IF there is anything else I can do to help though - say the word and you got it

You're wrong about helical gears. Helical gears are less efficient at transmission of power, but are far far quieter. A straight cut gear transmits power alot better than helical. Helical gears were created for noise level reduction only. Hence the gearbox of your car being helical.

Sorry for the delayed response Brianna, I can get a little burried responding to everyone - my PERSONAL opinion is if ANY version of the T300 is double the price of the G29, I would say it's not worth it...although value is different to everyone. MAYBE if the externals of the petals were metal it could be justified to be twice the price, but the Alcantara is only metal on the INSIDE. I personally prefer the T300 but the G29 is a solid and fantastic wheel as well (and my wheel setup is the RS). Barefoot Gaming yeah, the g27 feels fine for me but if the tmx can feel like the g27 just without the “gear feeling”, or even just less gear feeling then the g27 I’ll be fine, like I can feel the gears but that’s only bc I know my wheel lol, then I’ll be fine with that, I’ll just have to buy the adapters so I can use my g27 shifter and pedals bc I’m not paying the $300 for the Thrustmaster pedals and shifter shipped. Side note I’m pretty confident that I’ll have/use my g27 forever just bc I’m used to it and it’ll still work. Like ppl swear the tmx is better than the g27 but since I’m so used to the g27 the tmx might feel like trash to me idk

Nice vid, but if you want to buy the t150 i would say that its smarter to buy the t150 pro, because for 20£ more you have the t3pa pedals and those are much better then those plastic pedals! Lastly its important to say that the t150 is like 100£ cheaper then the other 2. So I would say that for what you get the t150 pro is probably the best one to buy.
@barefootgaming6265

Currently the T150 pro is about $80 more expensive here in Canada (then the T150), at $360...but those prices fluctuate all over the place. At the time of the recording of this video it was almost $150 more (but keep in mind...COVID is effecting prices of wheels and HOTAS setups). AND to add to that...the T150 pro is $10 MORE than the G29 here (the G29 is currently selling for $350)...I tried to do a quick check in the US and the T150 and T150 pro are both sold out with the G29 going for $283. In the end, I figured all I could do is list the pros and cons and compare each so the viewers could check their own pricing and see which fits them best :)

It proved to me the same, after selling G25 it makes no sense for me to invest in any of these in the end. While the price is of course a difference, the fact that G29 is still the same wheel I had with upgrades and same pedals (brake without mods is not really good) and OMG no H pattern shifter stock anymore, makes it a big no for me. The cheap wheel quality of Thrustmaster is also a no for me, as well as a 2 pedal set (and no H shifter as well). Which means for Thrustmaster I have to get a "leather" or any higher tier wheel, a 3 pedal set and H pattern as well. It almost gets to a price point of Fanatec which begs the question why would you invest in Thrustmaster. The initial cost of getting into it is lower, sure, but in the end of the day you will be doing a switcheroo eventually. Logitech besides the H shifter, is smarter in this regard as the package you get is really decent (besides the outdated tech) and it's still less of headache.

Good video, both detailed and to the point. The next time I see the G29 on sale I think I'm finally gonna go for it. Hopefully that'll happen before Logitech's new model phases it out of existence. Going G29 because without proper gear shifting with a clutch and gearstick I don't feel like I'll get the full sense of immersion I'm looking for, and both the T150 and T300 just become too expensive when you take the shifter and clutch pedals into account. Combined they cost about as much as the T300 itself, and the whole package about twice what a G29+shifter can get down to.

I went with the t300rs GT edition , it's a great wheel and my only complaint about the pedals is that there is too little resistance on the thrust. The wheel i've had a couple of weird issues with though. After a day it was auto calibrating poorly , but it sorted itself out luckily. Also , at 1080 degrees it doesn't turn 100% each side , more like 98% before you run into so much resistance you're afraid of breaking something. This might just be my unit , but keep this in mind. The last sidenote is that the software from thrustmaster's side is very primitive and can be a bit hard to find/install if you're not a computer geek. Great review though! You highlighted the important points. Very good quality for a relatively unknown channel.

As far as Thrustmaster goes, and this is just my 2 cents, from what I've read when issues arise they are almost always heat related. If you live in a climate that is extra hot and want to use this in a "non temperature controlled" room the odds of failure go up exponentially. Mind you I'm in Canada and it's in my basement...lol, so I have zero heat issues. Sadly as long as their is electronics in the hardware, any of them can fail, so no bulletproof option from any of them. I wish I could be more help Marty

Look at my most recent video. It explains how to play any game with that same steering wheel!

Out of the t150 pro or the g29, which one would you recommend for reliability? Which one would still be good after a year + of driving ?

I have genuinely heard people who have had issues with both, so it seems to be a little bit of a luck of the draw (in a bad way). I can say that both my G29 and T150 have been bulletproof, so that's probably not very helpful. Sorry Kyle :s

how bad is the feel comparing t300 and g29? does the g29 feel unrealistic to real driving by a lot because of the notch feeling from the gears?

I wouldn't say it feels any kind of bad...but to me at least, the G29 feels more like an arcade wheel...if that makes sense?

@@barefootgaming6265 got it. thank you for sharing this. I was looking between the t300rs and the g29. because it was on sale I almost jumped at it and decided to hold back and look around for reviews. I'm guessing the g923 will be similar as well to the 29

@@jiankienyee9339 Mechanically (from what I've read) they are near identical...although the g923 has the new "buzzing" feature of making the wheel itself give a form of feedback (one reviewer said it made his hands feel like they were waking up from falling asleep...that kind of tingle) - and always glad to help Jian!

if the shifter for tmx was as cheap as logitechs shifter id maybe get tmx, but its 460€ for a whole kit tmx pro + shifter, where as its only 300€ for whole g920 set (wheel + shifter)

I should really get around to comparing the quality of the shifters in a video at some point...as I've seen the price difference, I'd like to see if they are justified!
