I luv that a similar storm in the Mountains is less intense in that only a few people may feel it. What a wonderful City NYC is! So much Life energy getting bowled over by the waves of the Storm as it pulsates in and on all in it's huge path

I was in that storm. I was walking from the School of Visual Arts where I attend college to the Barnes & Noble near Union Square Park when the I heard the lightning and felt the first drops of rain. Plus I had left my coat back in my dorm room and I was in shorts and a t-shirt so I pretty much was like "Oh snap, gotta get there QUICK before this gets worse!"

I was on the 42nd floor downtown by the WTC when this blew through. The speed and direction of the wind and rain were incredible. At one point , the 100MPH+ winds blew through along with a sick fog. It lookedt like we were inside a tornado. It then slowly cleared as the storm kept moving over the area. Even if the experts say it wasn't, I've been here all my life and never seen anything like this. -J

Wow, be glad u were not hit by lightning! Anyway, back in the early 80s, when I lived outside of Philadelpia, I was sitting in 1st grade class when I saw some really nasty storm clouds in the distance. Suddenly, they raced in at what must have been a couple hundred miles an hour and a very violent thunderstorm started. There was heavy rain, lightning and high winds that were knocking down trees.

Everybody, including myself were frightened to death. It's amazing the were not sued into oblivion for that stunt! My mom reported seeing a tree down across one of the roads
