Good old times - Sean played bass, and Tom was in the band. Can't believe Tom played this modified Ibanez - thought he played ESP or LTD. It comes out that this Tele existed long before the entire Heavy-Tele-guitar-trend started spreading widely. Kinda authentic

Hi Michael. Thanks for the kind words but it's actually the other way around. The AxeFX is plugged in the FX-loop Return of the tube amp. That way the EQ and effects 'n stuff come from the AxeFX and the power comes from the tube amp. A lot of bands also plug the AxeFX straight into the PA and just use the tube amp and cab for sound on stage. Kinda like Sean (bass) explained. guitar > AxeFX > FX Return 5150 > cab

I am a noob when it comes to gear, do they still have racks or no?
@RemmyRiffs

Of course they do lol. Not everyone has made the switch to or even like all digital gear. I myself prefer the tube amp, cab, pedals setup. Fuck Kempers and Axe Fx...all that kind of gear is going to be the downfall of pure tone...nothing can replace the tone of a pure tube setup.

wait, is this a RG1527 or a RG1527Z, becasue he said it's an edge zero system, and those have been build in the RG1527Z, which was introdiced 2010, so did he fuck his guitar up that badly in only 3-4 years :D ? also, do they still use axe fx now? i've seen them live about two months ago, and andy had this huge effect board with 15+ pedals on it, sean is playing guitar now, and i've only seen the two peavey 6505 (?) and 5150... of course i could be wron, an axe fx isn't too hard to hide lol but they sounded really great both times i've seen them, although one of the venues is kinda known for their sub-par sound :D

itabtoo i believe they went to using head again. Marsh said something about they axe fx kept failing on them. i dont get it but whatever helps gets the sound out of your head works

+itabtoo I spoke to Marshy last year at a show in Melbourne Australia and he was using a EVH 5150 50 watt with a decent pedal setup, no AXE FX. Then at Parkway Drive where they were playing support, Peavy 6505 with pedals again

"Everybody that's good plays Ibanez"...um, not true whatsoever...not every player like's Ibanez' paper thin necks. That shit gives my hand cramps like a mofo. I like a guitar with a decent sized neck, ESP's thin U neck is PERFECT. That being said, Japanese built Ibanez' have amazing craftsmanship and quality just like Japanese built ESP. Ibanez Japan and ESP Japan are both second to none when it comes to build quality, hardware, and wood.
