A great video as always with some interesting photos that made me want to go out and take some too. What is your favorite focal length ? I like 28mm a lot and am thinking of getting a minolta cle or leica m2 to begin with since im not rich. Which 28mm would you suggest ? Do you like this one more or the ttartisans ? Should i save and get a leica 28mm 2.8 ? I get it that the quality especialy if one pushes film is not so different but since i tried the 28mm leica from a friend it was to me clear that the lens is designed to be used without compromises. The handling is what the other brands lack of. For example the new voichtländer 28mm 2.8 is tiny and great optical and the focus tab works like a dream but having to be careful where to focus close insted of just turning the tab and get the focus to 70cm and quickly move witj the camera to around 70cm takes some of the fun away. I sm a hobbyst and dont live from photography so all these are just some geek thoughts but if i were a professional i wouldnt get a leica to use it with something other than leica lenses.

If every gear review was just a skilled photographer walking around and showing their process/images I'd be all here for it. Also funny something I spotted in the video while you were saying "I'm not sure what to do with the composition of the guy with the yellow trousers" the bus ran by and a reflection of a yellow advertisement or something of the sort flashed on the window. With the 28 1.4 -- I'm curious how you felt about the tradeoff of the size and weight? Was it worth the extra stop?
@frame-lines

It is quite hefty. The 28 is 330g and the 35 is just shy of 300. I felt it was a bit too much to begin with because I was coming from using a tiny cv skopar but I’ve adjusted to the weight and size pretty quickly. If you’ve ever used a summilux 50 it’s about the same bulk

Thank you for another great inspirational video - one really wants to go into the streets right after having watched it ! I'm usually a 28 + 50 mm shooter, 50mm bearing the majority of my work. Recently I have acquired a 35 mm lens, and since this review is about 28 and 35, I was just wondering when to use which focal length. Many says that they complement each other very well, which I haven't understood yet! Perhaps you can spare some of your thoughts on that subject! Thanks again and thanks in advance for your reply.
@frame-lines

If you've been a 50mm shooter for a long time then i think 35mm will be easier to adjust to. 28mm requires a whole different approach to photography imo. For example, 35 can look great shot from eye level but 28mm looks better at waist level so it can require a lot of hip shooting or crouching imo.
