3:20 mark shows cross chains touching, a DOT infraction. Chains must have protection to prevent rubbing. 5:20 as well

And these guys are getting paid by the hour on our dime....tsk tsk tsk, not saying that I agree with all their regs but some people did some stupid things and the govt decided we needed a law and here we are, exercise good judgement, pretend your family will be driving behind you the whole time.

What's your reference for this? It is not in the FMCSA Driver's Handbook on Cargo Securement nor can I find any other supporting documentation.

A lot of people don’t know your binder technically has is max rated load capability when the threads are 1” from bottoming out. If they are sticking way out on the treads still maybe even half way (but tight)a dot officer can get you for improperly secured load.

Oil your binders and they wont be so hard to work. I also don't like to run my binders all the way out, especially on something really heavy. The more threads you have in your binder once you're done tightening the better.

Don't use oil, it attracts dirt. Use graphite powder spray instead.

But at 3:45 is only 3300lbs not 6600 because it’s not going across the entire load. 3300 x 4 for all 4 corners is 13,200lbs. One chain going across the bucket with one binder so 6600lbs, there’s 19,800lbs. You have to do the front bucket so there’s 2 chains and 2 binders for each corner of the bucket, so 3300 x 2 = 6600 + 19800 = 26,400lbs. They need 50% of the backhoe weight and that weights roughly 27,000lbs like ours

It'd be nice to load and secure just one or two machines a day. Local Heavy Equipment Rental Drivers are delivering 4-8 times per day and Picking up the same.....60% of locations are downtown!! 😅 tendinitis is a guarantee

That's right, u pencil pushers keep telling the working man how to do their job! Pretty soon when the older experienced operators are gone, all common sense will be gone too!
